The river Seine runs through Paris and is 10 miles deep

It runs for 180 miles

Famous artists have painted it and travelled all the way to Paris to see it

It used to be the main form of transport

Paris is small: no corner is farther than six miles from the square

The name "Seine" comes from the Latin Sequana

The flood was 5.93 meters, which is 3.45 meters above the normal depth of the river.
