Why do people want fighting gone?
People want fighting banished because many players are getting injured because of it.
People are getting concussions, cuts, and broken bones.
Injuries aren't always from the other player sometimes people just fall…

What are the consequences from fighting?
Well there is a minor penalty for the instigator-drops gloves but the other player doesn’t. (2:00)
Major penalty- is awarded for fighting (5:00) Misconduct- the aggressor gets a major and
that misconduct ( cant play rest of game) (10:00)
Game misconduct-Same thing as above just more severe you miss that game and a game after.
What would happen if they banned fighting.?
There's no facts saying this would happen but I think stuff likes this would start being more regular, players need to release there anger so they do it in fighting. If fighting was banished players would have so much anger and release it like this or even worse..

Fighting in other leagues. Players in international hockey or
Olympic hockey get a match penalty and are kicked out!
A checking to the head in international or Olympic is a minor penalty with a ten minute misconduct or a major penalty with a game misconduct.
Survey!! I recently did a survey online asking
people if they would be in favor of fighting being removed the NHL. The grade 8, Grade7/6, Grade5 and some teachers voted and here are the results.
