The Golden ratio played a major role in the designing of buildings. The measurements of the great pyramid in Egypt, the Parthenon temple in Athens and the Pantheon temple in Rome are all in Golden ratio.

The Golden Ratio was used as a propre artistic aspect, especially by the by the Renaissance arrtists such as Leonardo Da Vinci and Michael Angelo. Mozart composed his symphonies according to golden ratio. Golden ratio is also present in contemporary art.
