SEATING ARRANGEMENT:

Arrange seats according to the needs of the class. In large classrooms with few students it's better to keep students together in front rather than scattered throughout the room. apply also grouping techniques.

TEACHER TALK:

Limit your talking in class giving students the opportunities to speak, not only because they need to practice but also because they may need a break from the strain of trying to follow you.

Try to strike a balance by speaking slowly and clearly in order to facilitate

understanding to students.

USE OF BOARD: Make sure that your writing is large and clear enough

so that the people in the back can read it. Try not to talk to the board when writing Use the board to entertain Avoid writing too much . Write just what is necessary Use the board in an organized way Try to use colored chalk/markers to make the board

more attractive and help visual students Write down the objectives of the class in a corner, so

students keep in mind what they are going to learn and what they are working on.

A teacher should be very sensible and sensitive when correcting errors. A positive attitude towards our students´ mistakes will help us assist our students to refine their learning processes.

CORRECTION TECHNIQUES:

Focus on the correction. Don´t correct every single thing.

Wait until the student has finished to intervine.

Help students understand what the mistake is by repeating, paraphrasing or underlining the mistake. Give them time to think.

Have students correct each other.
