Why is it important to build Self-Esteem?

Self-Esteem refers to how you feel about yourself. It is largely influenced by what you think certain others think about you.

Building self-esteems prepares children for life.

Children with low self-esteems are not as social as kids with high self-esteems.

What are the areas of Self-Esteem?

There are 5 areas of self-esteem.Physical- how you feel about your body and

health.Emotional- how you feel about your feelings

and how you express them.Social- how you feel about your ability to

get along with others.

You need to listen to your child.

You could encourage decision making.Praise positive behaviors.Follow the child’s lead.Accept that it is normal to have disappointments in

life and don’t take it out on the child.Give your child responsibilities.Always show affection to your child.You need to let your child solve their own

problems.
