The Wet Lands (Okefenokee)

The Okefenokee Swamp has many different kinds of animals like, alligators, dragon flies, snakes, and mosquitoes. There are many mosquitoes in the swamp because mosquitoes have their babies in water.

The animals survive in their lives by eating other animals and plants, some live in tree shelter.

Cranes

Cranes can grow up to 30 to 60 inches tall. Males are usually taller than females.

Snakes

There are at least 2,300 known species of snakes. Only some are not venomous. They are able to hide in grass very slowly and pop out and get ya!

Bald Eagle

Sometimes Bald Eagles live near lakes. Usually they live alone or in groups. They make there nests of leaves, sticks and grass. Bald in Bald Eagle means white.

AlligatorThe alligator is located in the South of Georgia. There are only 2 known species in the whole world!

BobcatThe bobcat’s purr is very loud. A home name for a

bobcat is a lair. Female bobcats give birth to at least 6 kittens. People are the bobcat worst enemies. The father bobcat usually brings food to the baby bobcats .

Loblolly pine

The Loblolly pine can grow up to 80 to 100 ft. tall! (24 meters to 30). It is important for paper pulp.

The cypress tree is an evergreen tree.

ferns.
