strengths

Sharks greatest weapon is their teeth because they bite 300 times harder than people can. Shark mouths are full of sharp teeth and a shark can have 5 sets of teeth. According to Smart Kids Shark book a hammerhead shark has a danger rating of 2 (very harmful unlikely to attack).

Female hammerheads can have 6 to 42 pups at one time. They can live to be 25 years old. They swim in shallow seas. They live in herds called schools. Sharks will eat there young if they don’t leave . Sharks will eat their brother and sisters to survive. Sharks hunt seals, sea lions, dolphins, stingrays, squid and other sharks.

Hammerheads have a lot of fins!! They have 5 gills on each side, 7 fins, 1 dorsal fin, 1 tail fin, 1 anal fin, 2 pelvic fins and 2pectoral fins. Hammer head sharks are 4 to 15 feet long. They have a T shaped head. Hammer heads don’t have a pointed mouth. Hammerheads have 1 eye on each side of their head.
