Lessons

Baseball

• Lots of ‘first time’

~first time to have a home run

~first time to hold a baseball bat and hit

the ball !!!

Gymnastic

• ‘Sweaty but fun!’

~play gymnastic in a

place without any

air conditioners &

fans

~To experience what a gymnast does in

a competition

e.g balance beam => Difficult to

balance your body

parallel bars => Difficult

to be coordinated

Visiting the Forestry Farm

• ‘eye-opened experience’

~visiting animals which cannot be seen

in HK, and even China!!

e.g. Bison, Moose, Lynx…..

Ziplining in Blue Mountain!

• ‘Activity never forget!!!’

~ fly off from one mountain to another

via a cable

~ granny? Superman? Batman Style?!

Most safety! Head upside down!

Want to be a Batman? Try ziplining!

Canoeing

• ‘Let’s get wet!’

~ needs to paddle to get the cannoe

move

~ simply don’t know how to paddle

water splashes on your body

Remember~Prepare extra clothes for changing,

otherwise, lets get wet together!

Glow Bowling• “Glowing in dark”

~ Wear as much as possible white on

you body, then you will glow

~ Use any styles you want to bowl the

ball

Our Host Family• Our host mom experienced and nice• Host’s daughter, Cara Crazy and amusing• Cara’s Husband, Ed Gentle• Little Monster, Colby Lovely

• These 5 guys are part of our family

• The 2 kitties are Pedly

and Sage.

• The 2 big guys are Samantha

and Kipper. The

little doggy is Lola.

• They brought us a lot of joys.

Our bedroom

• Not big but warm and comfortable

• We did homework and chatted

on the beds every night

• We visited the farm of Ed’s dad

• Everywhere is beautiful canola field

• We also enjoyed a ride

on a quad!

That’s cool~

• Host mom brought us to her mom’s house.

• We swam in a big indoor swimming pool

and one of us nearly drowned!

Yet, it is still an interesting

experience.

• We visited the biggest hotel in Saskatoon, ‘The Castle on the River’.

• We also went to the Wier, hoping to see pelicans. We went there twice but we could see none.

What a pitty!

Turtle Lake• We spent our last weekends there

• The hosts live in a house

and we slept in a camper!

• Ed took us to ride on a boat around the lake.

• Not only us, the doggy was also excited!

Our Breakfast~!!

• It was prepared by our host mum on the third day

• The bacon was oily, we ate all of them!

Yummy~~

Play Mahjong together!

• The Mahjong was brought from Hong Kong as a gift to our host family.

• We always played until midnight with them!

• We could often listen

to our host to pronounce

Chinese word.

Sporty Host dad

• Our host dad brought us to watch football and fastball matches.

• Some kids struggled for finding softballs to make profit.

Our Chinese buffet

• We had our Chinese buffet with host family in a Asian restaurant.

We did miss the Chinese food a lot!

Wanuskewin

• An Indian Meseum

• located in spacious plains

• with different exhibitations,

including indian dance

• The performer can show

the shape of different

animals just making use

of hula hoops

Pooler

• We played pooler in the basment of our host grandfather’s house.

• Our host dad was a brilliant player who can strike the ball with strong power and high accuracy!

Berrybarn

• Both the air and jam were fresh!

• We brought a lot of jam to Hong Kong!

The Taste of Saskatchewan

• A vast variety of food provided.

• We were all indulged in listening to singers as well!

• We also visited the weir of South Saskatchewan River and took a look on pelicans.

• They treated me as their family member when I was in Canada

• Rose was my host

mum who used to be

a nurse but now

she is retired.

• Rose likes sharing her experiences and her views to life which is very useful for me.

• She is a good host mum and I learnt a lot from her .

• Mr. berry is the most talkative and funny person I have met.

• He always chats with strangers and makes jokes so it is so happy being with him.

• Abady is like my big brother while Lzzize is my little brother. They taught me a lot about Canada . We both like playing basketball and drinking coffee.

Where I live

• Living room, the place for my host family and I sit together and talk

• Our kitchen, the place we have breakfast and watch TV every day

• My host family would explain the scenes to me.

• I can learn many

new words from

them .

Tim Hortons

• The local coffee shop

• We offen went there to have drinks and chat.

Basketball

• The basketball court near my house• Abady , Izzize and I play basketball every

Saturday.• I am so impressed that they can do slam

dunk easily .

Saskatoon City Hospital

• It is the only hospital in Saskatoon

• My host mum worked here before

It is so big!

The ELIM church

• My host mum is a Christian so she goes to the ELIM church every Sunday morning .

• That’s what I got from the church

• This was the last day we stayed in Saskatoon

• All the students received

a certificate from the

Canadian teachers!

• Students also prepared

several performances

to entertain the teachers

and host families.

• Our group was responsible for introducing the masks of Chinese Opera.

• Guests could create their

own mask themselves

• Everyone did have fun!
