With The Pearls of Umhlanga already having gained an im-

pressive architectural reputation as one of the country’s most

exclusive resort and residential offerings, Pearl Sky will include

a number of elements that follow a similar aesthetic rationale.

The architectural ‘language’ has been developed to enhance the

concepts of lavishness and fine living. The apartments are mod-

ern with all the finer finishes, and have an interior-to-exterior

flow design that invites sunshine and sea air into one’s living

All building and development plans will be evaluated in terms of

the required measures to promote low energy consumption.

The new tower has been designed to be energy efficient and in

compliance with the latest energy efficiency regulations of SANS

10400.

With the following technologies incorporated:

1. Heat pumps providing hot water to the residential units,

making use of the warm ambient air temperature to heat the

water.

2. VRF ducted air condition system to residential units, making

use of the latest energy efficient technology, providing

individual control to each room in the apartment, therefore

reducing wasted conditioned air.

3. LED lighting to all indoor residential spaces.

4. Tinted solar glazing to the apartments to reduce solar heat

gain therefore reducing the capacity of the air-conditioning

system.

ers are Garlicke & Bousfield Inc. All

amounts paid are in trust, pending transfer,
