Lifelike DenturesLifelike Dentures is a new family

practice with deep roots. Denturist, Michael Holden, leads the practice. Michael grew up in the world of dentures. He inherited the profession from his father, Ken Holden L.D., who helped pioneer Denturism in Oregon and Washington.

Michael graduated from the University of Oregon and attended George Brown Technical College, where he completed the Denturist Program. Michael became a licensed denturist in 2006. Since becoming licensed Michael worked at Natural Dentures where he ran offi ces in Salem, Corvallis and West Linn, OR. Michael loves helping patients who have been miserable and uncomfortable with their dentures, discover how comfortable and confi dent they can feel in their new dentures.

On May 1, 2012 Michael and his family moved to Washington and started Lifelike Dentures in Kent. Michael is grateful to have learned and practiced the skill alongside his family. Taking from what he has learned, Michael, now enjoys running his own

independent practice. Patient care is highly important to Michael. He has a high value for educating patients in their treatment planning to ensure peace of mind and satisfaction.

Th e patient process is made simple with fl exible scheduling, package pricing and acceptance of dental insurance. Michael only uses the highest quality materials. Michael is also skilled in implant dentures, partials, relines, repairs and all other removable oral prosthetic devices and procedures.

Making dentures requires working with the patient to choose the right appearance and obtain the correct function, all while creating the denture in an on-site lab from impressions to a fi nished product. Working with people comes naturally to Michael. He obtained the skill of making dentures through diligent training and education. Patients can be sure that when they come to Lifelike Dentures they are receiving the best quality care in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

These days, livability and economic vitality go hand in hand. In Kent, our relatively low home prices, gorgeous parks, reputable schools and expanding job base mean more people than ever are seeking out Kent as a place to open businesses and spread their entrepreneurial wings. The City of Kent enjoys a vibrant sense of community. It is a place where local government, private citizens and businesses are partners working together to provide innovative solutions. If you are not a member of the Kent Chamber of Commerce you are missing the opportunity to collaborate with some of the most infl uential community leaders! Make that call and become part of an organization that takes every opportunity to share resources, information and to connect all types of businesses. In today’s business environment, it is imperative the Chamber represents and protects our members by working hard to support every aspect of doing business in the Kent valley.

Like many of the cities across the United States, our community has weathered challenging economic times, and yet we remain steadfast in our determination to move positively toward a better future. The Kent Chamber is the voice and ears of the community, responsive to its ever changing needs and concerns. We are the largest advocate for businesses in the community and continue to support them as a conduit for information. We also support economic eff orts designed to strengthen and expand Kent with programs for a civic, social and cultural nature that are designed to increase the functional value of the community.

At the Kent Chamber of Commerce, we bring the business community together in dynamic, profi table ways. Whether members are networking with one another, learning marketing tips, immersing themselves in issues that impact business, or tapping into an array of educational services, we give local business owners the tools to help them thrive.

New in 2014We want to highlight a couple of new programs and exciting

initiatives we are working on for 2014. If you haven’t visited our new website please make sure to do so! It is easier to use and showcases our community’s history and vibrant future. The Education Committee has set lofty goals for this year. Members funded a staff position at the President’s Gala to help reach those goals! In 2014 the Chamber launched the new education branding of: Manufacturing the Future: Bring the World to the Classroom. This tagline encompasses our three fl agship education programs including the rebranding of Educate the Educator which introduces teachers, counselors and principals to our homegrown high tech and living wage manufacturing jobs located right here in our valley.

Another exciting new adventure for the Kent Chamber is our LEAN transformation headed by Mike Moran a LEAN leader who is the GM of Cascade Gasket & Manufacturing. He has generously donated his time and knowledge. The core of our lean transformation is to maximize  customer value  while minimizing waste. This will allow the Chamber to improve profi tability, effi ciency and service for our members. It is our goal to become a fl agship LEAN administrative offi ce which our members can tour and adopt best practices for their offi ce. The Kent Chamber of Commerce continues to grow as we continue to build on the highest membership levels in the last 8 years. We want to thank the hundreds of businesses that invest in the Kent Chamber of Commerce annually.
