Business School Conversations about Ethical Leadership A Roundtable Discussion Sponsored by Stan and Jean Perron Fellowship in Ethical Leadership There is a lot of talk today about the need for ethical leadership in our governments, businesses and institutions. But what do we really mean by “ethical”? Are we talking about obeying laws, living up to accepted community standards, treating others with care and respect, or using power in beneficial ways? And what about our own personal sense of ethics? Should we expect a higher moral standard from public leaders than we do from ourselves? ‘Conversations’ will be a thought provoking, lively and entertaining debate. It will engage a broad audience in considering the ethical questions that continue to confront us as a society, a community and individuals in all aspects of our lives. Moderator: Mark Scott (Managing Director ABC) Conversationalists: Professor Debra Meyerson (Stanford University) Mr Wayne Osborn (recently retired Managing Director Alcoa – Australia, Chairman GML) Mr John Poulsen (Managing Partner Minter Ellison) Professor Amanda Sinclair (Melbourne University) When: Sunday July 20 2008, 2.00pm -4.00pm Where: Octagon Theatre, UWA Hackett Drive, Crawley RSVP: Monday 14 July 2008 Registrations: This is a free public event but you will need to complete the attached form to reserve a place.
