Introduction

-Salmon P. Chase’s image is on the $10,000 bill. A Secretary of the Treasury under Lincoln, Chase is the bank’s namesake and is considered the “Father of Modern Banking.”

Background of Google

• Google started in 1995 by two guys by the names of Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

• BackRub/googol/Google.

• Google started in a garage until they filed for incorporation in California September 4th, 1998.

• By 1999 they outgrew the garage office and moved to Palo Alto. At this time.

• In 2001, Google became available in 26 languages.

• And by that December, their index size grew to 3 billion web documents.

Background of Chase

• Chase started September 1, 1799, to 1954, it was Chase

National Bank, in 1954-1960, it was World-Wide Banking,

Chase Manhattan, and in 1960-1976, it was The Chase

Manhattan Bank.

• Chase now offers more than 5,100 branches and 16,100

ATMs nationwide.

• Chase generates roughly $60 billion in revenue yearly.

• About $860 million dollars in Net income annually.

• Divisions including Retail Financial Services, Card

Services, and Commercial Banking

• about 270,000 employees.

• To analyze the success of the revolutionary work environment of Google Inc. and compare it to traditional work environments
