This course targets at Business Analysts, Business Related Experts, Project Managers, IT Professionals, and other
stakeholders involved in mapping, measuring and analyzing business processes
BPM training provides you with the most up-to-date practical tools, techniques and experience to design,
implement, control, and analyze Operational Business Processes - these typically involve people, entire
organizations, software applications. This program aims to provide you with the fundamental concepts and
knowledge in BPM and Lean Sigma techniques leading to certify you as a Green Belt standard. Nowadays, many
organizations will understand and improve the BPM before implementing ERP. Ability to use BPM techniques is
the key factor leading to proactive business process management actions.
Six Sigma proved by many Fortune 500 companies is a way to help the organization to strike for excellence. With
many successful project cases developed in the last two decades, Six Sigma becomes a Business Process
Improvement (BPI) standard. Organization can use the methodology i.e. DMAIC with appreciate selection of the
tools in solving particular problem. It helps organization to develop a continuous improvement and system thinking
culture.
Lean techniques were first introduced by the Toyota Motor Corporation to reduce operating time and costs while
retaining product quality. Lean techniques evolve into operating philosophies to: make only what you need, never
make a defect or pass a defect on, eliminate waste, and focus on cycle time reduction which ultimately reduces
cost. Once in place, lean systems use less people, space, inventory and financial investment. This course focuses
on not only providing the knowledge of Lean but also how it can effectively applied in your work situation.

Trainer Profile: Dr. Chan has over 25 years of industrial, training and consultancy experience in the field of business process
improvement. As an American Society of Quality (ASQ) certified Six Sigma Black Belt &Master Black Belt for a
Fortune 500 company, Dr Chan has trained over 500 Black & Green Belts and consulted with many
organizations in both manufacturing and service industries. Currently, Dr. Chan holds teaching position in HKU
Space, CityU and Shue Yan University. Dr. Chan holds a BSc(Eng) degree in Mechanical Engineering from
University of Hong Kong, MSc, MEng and postgraduate study from Imperial College, Oxford University, UK &
Sydney University in Australia in automation & technology field. He received doctorate degree from City
University of Hong Kong in Engineering Management.
