Amaya Holliday 2901 Holly Ave. Durango, CO 81301 10/31/15 Mr. and Mrs. Woo Woo Woo Cookies Dear Mr. and Mrs. Woo, Hi, I am writing to talk to you about your cookie company. In my math class we graphed the feasible region of your cookie constraint and found the highest profit you can make given your constraints. You can make 75 plain cookies and 50 iced cookies. You will use 110 pounds of dough and it will take you 15 hours. The oven space won’t be a problem because you will only need 125 dozens and not 140. You will use 20 pounds of icing. The maximum profit that I found was $212.5. I found this max profit by making a feasible region graph and then used the profit line to find the max amount of plain cookies you could make is 75 and the max iced is 50. Iced cookies make $2.00 and plain cookies are $1.50. If you multiply 75 by $1.50 and 50 by $2.00 you get a total profit of $212.5. I hope this helped you out when you are trying to maximize your profit and make your business more efficient. Sincerely, Amaya Holliday 9th grader at Animas High School
