The Col lege of Busi ness is dedi cated to edu cat ing menand women for pro fes sional po si tions in busi ness, gov -ern ment, and non profit or gani za tions. The thrust of thecol lege is to build upon a lib eral arts foun da tion for alife time of learn ing and growth.

The un der gradu ate pro gram is pri mar ily an upper- division cur ricu lum in which about half of the work is in the hu mani ties, be hav ioral sci ences, and mathe mat ics,and the re main der in busi ness and eco nom ics.

Core and op tion pro grams are de signed to pre pare stu -dents to be come pro fes sion als. They equip stu dents withthe knowl edge, skills, and val ues nec es sary to un der stand and cope with com plex, chang ing, and in creas inglyglobal busi ness en vi ron ments. In di vid ual courses pro -mote rec og ni tion of po ten tial prob lems, fos ter crea tiveproblem- solving, and pro vide ba sic ana lyti cal and con -cep tual skills. Sup por tive and co op era tive learn ing en vi -ron ments al low stu dents to strengthen their in ter per sonal and com mu ni ca tion skills.

Mem bers of our fac ulty earned doc tor ates at our na tion’sfin est uni ver si ties, in clud ing Har vard, Penn State, Chi -cago, and North west ern in the East, UCLA, Ar i zona, andUSC in the West. Many of our fac ulty have com binedtheir schol arly train ing with busi ness ex pe ri ence through in dus try em ploy ment or ex ten sive con sult ing work withma jor cor po ra tions. This com bi na tion of in-depth train -ing and busi ness ex pe ri ence trans lates into state-of-the-art in struc tion.

The col lege has its own tech nol ogy learning cen ters, al low -ing full in te gra tion of tech nol ogy into our cur ric u lum. Inad di tion, the cen ters al low the fac ulty to make ex ten siveuse of the man age ment sim u la tion ap proach to learn ing.
