Health and Wellness in the Workplace May 23 (TH) Instructor: Patricia Randolph Do you want your business to save money, have less absenteeism, improve employee morale, and increase productivity? An effective corporate wellness program is a good way for employers to reduce healthcare costs and increase productivity, plus improve engagement and overall well-being. Engaging in workplace wellness activities, like exercise and eating well, increases employee productivity and performance. Employees who take part in a workplace wellness program are more satisfied with their jobs than those who don’t participate. One of the key factors in health and wellness is learning stress management. Health and wellness programs build a sense of community, connecting employees to each other and to the company. Wellness programs can improve employee health, and this can have an impact on whether or not individuals are absent from work. Statistics show those that participate in a company wellness program report 70 percent fewer absences. Come to this session and learn how to establish a health and wellness program in your workplace by teaching employees about healthy eating, physical exercise, stress management, team building, and community service.
