The mission of the Rita Tong Liu School of Business and Hospitality Management is to cultivate the holistic development of students with high ethical standards, good communication and critical thinking skills that will lead to successful career opportunities and advancement in industry. We aim at equipping our graduates with strong core competences in their stream disciplines as well as necessary attributes in facing challenges in the dynamic business and global environment. We offer quality BBA (Hons) programmes in Accountancy, Corporate Management, Information Systems, Hotel Management and Marketing and Event Management which are accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications.

Research and Innovation追求真理與創新The School understands the importance of developing students' ability to search for the "Truth" based on factual evidences. This ability is important for a citizen and for a prospective professional. Therefore, the School offers every undergraduate student an opportunity to participate in conducting a comprehensive business research project and learn how to apply scientific research methods to collect relevant evidence to solve problems and to discover new knowledge.

Theory, Practice and Role Model理論與實務並重（言教 + 身教）The School offers study programmes that equip students with updated knowledge on both the theory and the practice of business operations. For example, in the Accountancy area, all our professors have PhD degrees and professional accounting qualification, allowing us to actually provide a business education with a balanced emphasis on both the theory and the practice of business management. Since many students want to pursue a professional qualification, our professors can also serve as an excellent role models for them.

b. Being a mature applicant aged 21 or above on 1 September of the year when admission is sought, with relevant work experience and academic background; OR

# Applicants possessing an "Attained" and "Attained with Distinction" in a HKDSEE Applied Learning (ApL) subject are deemed to have attained "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively in a HKDSEE elective subject. A maximum of two ApL subjects can be counted for admission purpose.

Graduates can commence their careers in certified public accountant (CPA) firms, government departments, commercial and industrial organisations, and public bodies. Graduates can commence their career as company secretarial assistants and administrative officers in professional service firms, listed companies, commercial and industrial organisations, as well as public bodies. After accumulating several years of work experience and acquiring qualifications through professional examinations, they will be qualified as chartered company secretaries.

畢業生可投身專業服務公司、上市公司、工商機構或公營團體從事公司秘書助理及行政主任相關工作。畢業生並可一邊累積工作經驗，一邊考取相關專業資格，成為特許公司秘書。

For Graduates from the Stream of Hotel Management

酒店管理學科畢業生

Graduates may start as food and beverage assistants, front desk assistants, guest service agents, hotel management trainees and corporate sales executives in hotels, resorts, and other hospitality industries. After gaining sufficient relevant experience, they may be promoted to leading positions of different departments in hotels or related hospitality firms.

CIHE is a loving institution. As a Mainland student, I was not used to the teaching and learning mode in Hong Kong at the beginning. Fortunately, CIHE offered me a series of counselling services and extra Cantonese and English classes. These have helped me greatly in overcoming my learning difficulties. Teachers here are patient, and many are willing to prepare us supplementary teaching

materials and to help us solve our problems. Apart from learning, I have also participated in many other activities organized by CIHE, such as visiting Companies Registry and doing volunteer work. The visit to Companies Registry grounded my work-related knowledge and raised my enthusiasm in working. For all these years, I feel contented and I have indeed learnt a lot of useful knowledge and skills. I would like to say thank you to the College and to teachers for fostering my growth. With teachers' recommendation, I have been awarded several scholarships, which are certainly the greatest encouragement and recognition for the effort I have paid. I will continue to work hard at CIHE and to take bigger steps forward.

I have studied at CIHE for two years. At the beginning, I did not quite grasp the learning mode in tertiary education, but now, I start to manage it under teachers' guidance. We are lucky to have supportive teachers, who always answer our questions patiently. In our free time, we can participate in different extra-curricular activities such as the Caritas Charity Bazaar by volunteering in it. At the same time, we can apply what we have learnt in class to real life situations and thus enrich our learning experience. Furthermore, CIHE also organizes Mainland exchange programs so that we can exchange ideas with Mainland teachers and students, visit local companies in Mainland China, listen to what companies' management team say, and learn more about the culture of their business world. Not only does going to various cities broaden our horizon, it also allows us to experience their culture and gain international exposure.

我在明愛專上學院已就讀兩年了，我由一個不懂大專學習形式的學生，慢慢在老師

的帶領下，開始掌握了當中的技巧。在課堂上，只要遇到不明白的時候可以隨時提問，

老師們都願意循循善誘地為學生解答問題。在課餘時間，我們可以參加各種課外活

動，例如以義工的身份來參與明愛慈善賣物會。在賣物會中，我們可以運用在課堂

上學習到的知識來一展所長，並且增加閱歷經驗。此外，學校亦舉辦了內地交流團，

I still remember when I first entered this Institute, everything was unfamiliar to me. With a new learning mode and environment, classmates and teachers, I hesitated a lot. I was not even sure whether I could get through the course and graduate. When I was desperate, support and encouragement from teachers and classmates were indispensable. I completed a higher diploma programme and then a bachelor's degree programme at CIHE. During my studies, I took the opportunities given by the Institute and participated in different activities. The outside class learning experience not only let me understand how to handle difficulties in real life situations, but also gave me a chance to meet more people and establish connections in the business sector. Finally, I got a job in company secretarial profession shortly after graduation. The professional knowledge and experience that I accumulated in the Institute were invaluable that helped me a lot in improving my competency for future development.

還記得初入校園，面對全新的學習模式、環境、同學、老師，倍感陌生，對前路尤其感到迷茫，

能否順利畢業，也是未知之數。當感到氣餒的時候，老師與同學的支持與鼓勵變得相當重要。在

Before Secondary 5, I had an accident during the summer holiday. Since then, I have had to live in a wheelchair and I could not physically write properly after surgery, so I could only pay more effort in order to complete my secondary school education. After completion of a higher diploma programme at IVE, I started to study year 3 of the BBA (Hons) in Marketing and Event Management programme at CIHE.

After enrolling in the programme, I was contacted almost immediately by Student Affairs Office and Registry for making special arrangements for my learning needs. During these two years, the professional teaching team at CIHE has enriched my learning experience. Outside class, lecturers always took good care of me, which made my campus life worry-free. Putting on the cap and gown, I eventually graduated from CIHE and earned my BBA (Hons) degree. With knowledge learnt at CIHE, I am trying my very best in my current position in the HKSAR government.

升中五暑假期間，我不幸發生意外，自此需要輪椅代步。手術後，我雙手不能靈活書寫，只能付

出更多時間去完成高中課程。完成了IVE 高級文憑課程後，我入讀了明愛專上學院工商管理(榮譽)

They vary from academic orientated to vocation-based across different disciplines, namely business, hotel, tourism, catering, servicing and property management. These programmes aim at offering different articulation paths in local and overseas institutes for students who intend to pursue their academic advancement or career development after completing their sub-degree studies. Our experienced and qualified academic staff coming from various industries are pleased to share their knowledge with students. # Applicants possessing an "Attained" and "Attained with Distinction" in a HKDSEE Applied Learning (ApL) subject are deemed to have attained "Level 2" and "Level 3" respectively in a HKDSEE elective subject. A maximum of two ApL subjects can be counted for admission purpose.

香港中學文憑考試應用學習科目取得「達標」或「達標並表現優異」的成績，於申請入學時會被視為等同香港中學文憑考試科目成績達「第二級」或「第三級」，最多計算兩科應用學習科目。


To be eligible for admission to the Programme, applicants must satisfy one of the following admission requirements:

• Having completed Secondary Five under HKCEE or Secondary Six under HKDSEE in Hong Kong with at least a Pass or Level 2 in Chinese Language respectively; and currently work in the property management industry at least 6 months in "Assistant" (e.g. Property Assistant, Customer Services Assistant, or Assistant Officer) job grade; OR

• Being a mature applicant of at least 21 years of age on 1 September of the year when admission is sought, with five years of relevant working experience in Property Management; OR

• Having obtained a qualification at QF Level 3 in related Property Management areas; OR

• Holding an equivalent qualification

Applicants must have passed the admission interview for successful application.For applicants who cannot fulfill the Chinese language requirement as stated above, they are required to complete the Foundation of Chinese Communication course offered by the CBCC before the commencement of the Programme.
