BURGALESA DEL POLIÉSTER S.L., better known as BUPOLSA, has an experience of over 25 years in manufacturing his own products , plus 40 years of experience of our own technicians in the production of REINFORCED POLYESTER FIBERGLASS TANKS. BUPOLSA has got a second factory in Melgar de Fernamental (Burgos) and three other companies belong to the same group: Bupolsa Deliveries S.A. and Mantelplas S.L. The total area of manufacturing and offices, altogether, has 60.000 m2, of which over 10.000 m2 are settled under a protected surface providing a perfect service for the processing and storage of great capacity in order to provide advantageous delivery times to customers. Due to our great experience in this field and to the good choice of raw materials, our products can be found everywhere where necessary to store both liquids and solids.

Bupolsa has the patent 2644 has double-wall tanks for the storage of hydrocarbons wich, have been taken as a model for other manufacturers. These tanks have been designed to avoid leaks, preventing so subsoil from pollution. So, when doing the setting up of the tank, it is not necessary to add small concrete cask of restraint, as our tanks are officially approved and in accordance with all requirements.

Chemical industry silos

The latest technology in manufacturing allows us to offer advanced solutions,

properly certified and officially authorized.

The manufacturing method which we mainly use is the continuous ‘filament

winding’ performed with a singular special machine designed on purpose by BUPOLSA, which allows a total homogeneity of both chemical and physical

properties. The bottoms of tanks are manufactured by simultaneous pro-

jection that moulds fiberglass and resin at the same time on each individual mould.

The main characteristic of this manufacturing system is the shape of the

laminated which has an inner layer of resin enriched with polyester (Gel

Coat) which ensures the seal. A structural layer of fiberglass ( Roving)

supports the efforts and finally a layer resistant against UV rays (Top Coat)

settles its immutability.

Due to this level of requirement BUPOLSA has got the ISO 9001 ‘Quality Cer-

tification’ and all its tanks are officially approved with the 3900917 /BU (N.R.S.

3900917/BU) ‘Health Registry Standard’ . Each one of the different

manufactured products goes under an exhaustive quality control by auditing

firms such as Lloyd’s, Eurocontrol, Bureau Veritas etc.

Each piece is subjected to a control by a schedule of check points, which

includes dimensional control, polymerization, sealing tests, resistance tests

etc.

Furthermore, double-wall tanks made by BUPOLSA to store hydrocarbons

have got the patent number 2644, and they have been classified as

‘UTILITY MODEL’. They have been officially approved by the ‘General

Department of Industry, Energy and Mines’ of the ‘Ministry of Economy and

Finance’ and have also got the ‘ATISAE’ Certification because of the

fulfilment of the law UNE 53.496-53.
