There are several types of houses in the world. I mean, there are mansions, detached houses, cottages, bungalows, apartments and others. A real estate expert would know and be able to name of all of them. Does a lodge count as a house? I wouldn’t know. Old pal Google might, though.

Let’s differentiate one of the types of houses from the standard house that we are used to seeing. A bungalow would do. It is a whole lot different from the houses we see in the cities with a lot of stories.

A bungalow is a residential building, normally detached, which is either single-story or has a second story built into a sloping roof, usually with dormer windows. Full vertical walls are therefore only seen on one story, at least on the front and rear elevations. A house, however, usually has two stories. It has a main entrance in the lower level and the upper level hold the sleeping areas.

A bungalow has advantages from a regular home. There are no stairs so when you get old; it is still easy for you to access all the parts of the house. It has a larger roof area and right slant to install solar panels. It is also easy to change the use of rooms like a dining room can become a bedroom. It also means that you can do more renovations in the house. You can turn it into a two storey home if you change your mind about the bungalow.

There are also disadvantages when it comes to owning bungalows. The bedrooms don’t get enough heat. Owning a one story house can mean that it is easier to break into. Plus, it takes up more land. So, if you want big house but you designed it to be a bungalow, you need to buy a big land and a bigger land if you want a garden and a parking area.

Of course, the standard home will have the advantages of a bungalow as its weakness and the disadvantages as its strength. But then, there is the issue of the price. Anyway, sometimes bungalows are more expensive and sometimes the standard house is more expensive. Then at times, although very rare, it has the same price. The winner would be decided by the user or buyer or owner of a bungalow and a regular home. After all, the perfect home decided by their preference. http://www.millercountrywide.co.uk/forsaleoffice/newquay/1100/
