ECE R90 CERTIFICATION

Meritor is pleased to announce the ECE R90 Certification of its Brake Discs and Rotors.

Quality is always at the forefront of Meritor’s philosophy. We voluntarily submitted our Meritor Disc and Rotors for ECE R90 certification, according to the VCA (Vehicle Certification Agency) and ECE R90 requirements.

We are proud to announce that one of our product families has passed all the required tests. Each Disc was tested and met the following VCA requirements:

• Geometric• Material specifications• Wear condition• Thermal fatigue• Service brake vehicle performance test• Comparison test with dynamic frictional properties of the original part• High load and thermal fatigue integrity tests

The parts have similar performance characteristics as original equipment parts. Other Meritor brake disc families are currently undergoing R90 tests and are showing excellent results so far.

We will continue our development work to increase consumer confidence in our parts and to continue to meet the high standards of R90 testing.

Role at Meritor: Customer ServiceYear Joined: 2013 in Brazil, 2018 in Australia

What do you enjoy most about your role? I enjoy the variety and challenge each day brings and the opening to keep learning from daily challenges. These challenges gave me the opportunity to be part of projects, where we could improve systems, tools, procedures and reports within the Supply Chain Team. Being part of these projects I had the chance to learn more about Meritor globally.

What is your biggest challenge in your new role as CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST?Learning new systems and processes and gaining enough knowledge to ensure customer requirements are met and exceed their expectations wherever possible.

What are your interests outside work? Spending time with family and friends, movies & music, going to church, travelling, reading and outdoor activities.

What is your background?My background is in Supply Chain. I previously worked for Meritor Brazil as the International Material Planning Analyst. I also had the opportunity to work as Demand Planner, in Troy/US for 3 months.

Tell us a little bit about your main job responsibilities.As Material Planner I was responsible for developing and managing planning procedures, logistics and material control activities to support the business plan. Preparing detailed weekly schedules (EDI/ VRSS) to be sent to suppliers. Ensuring purchase orders and shipping information was accurately maintained. Taking action with regards to materials shortages and overdue orders. Reviewing and managing inventory requirements in order to identify inventory reduction opportunities. Oracle/ ASCP (Advanced Supply Chain Planning) system expert responsible for training new and existing employees.
