The focus is on women empowering women and communities and general charities support. Her chosen platform is the Create Foundation this is a National Consumer body representing the voices of the children and young people with an out-of-home care experience (foster care). Her passion is creating, inspiring, unifying and support within her local community. After her crowning in Sydney their first visit was to the Westmead Children’s Hospital and Ronald McDonald House with books and games. A big support group of the former is the Mums on Mission that was created by refugee women. In a few weeks she will be competing against 72 contestants from around the world in the USA representing Australia. All in all, a very inspiring presentation and we wish her well in all the endeavours and in the contest in the USA and we look forward in sharing projects in future. At tonight’s meeting we had Tracie Tickle share her story and path to become Mrs. Australia International. Tracie & husband Gary live in Salamander Bay with their 2 adult daughters. Her background is in the Performing Arts from 3years of age and in the industry as professional dancer and owner of the ULTIMATE dance studio in Tanilba Bay with >100 students. Her daughter, that had entered various smaller pageants and through that she received the call from the organizer in Miami FL. if she was interested and was surprised how much the organizer already knew about her from social media such as Facebook etc. Initially she thought a girlfriend was Link Go Your Own Way (leaving Care) is an info kit for the aged 15 and above to plan their transition into adulthood. Sortli is a smart phone app that provides step-by-step guide to navigate lives’ big challenges such as finding work, a place to live, health and money management etc.

Peter Page is getting ready for this year’s Starlight Foundation Rallye in August and is seeking our support again. Last year with his son they were placed 2nd overall and the event raised $160,000 for Starlight Foundation

With a lot of arm wringing Chelsea managed to get all the raffle books back in time. She also requests photos from club events or personal travels

The winners of the 2 bottles of wine donated by Pres. Kathy for early registration to Club Change-over are: Jonathan Cincotta w. Tricia Parnell. Congratulation!

This month’s dinner ladies: Lyn, Sheila, Marianne, Lorraine & Fiona

Lorraine announced that her grandson proposed to a girl by the name of Shannon Longhurst. Shannon was sponsored by this club for the Rotary Peace Fellowship and graduate studies at UNC Chapel Hill. She finished her Master Degree with honors. Congratulations go out to both and looking forward to a visit and presentation on the subject in future.
