Bulletin 20th January 2017 Dear Parents READATHON If you have not already done so, please send in your sponsor money by the end of January. We are currently planning the transformation of the interior of our Big Red Bus and every penny helps. Thank you to those who have already returned their sponsor money. We will announce the total and award the prizes for the most money collected early in February. POLITE REMINDER We have been asked by the PCSO who cover ‘Frogmore Campus’ to remind our parents about the etiquette of parking; the disabled bays are for people who really need them, they are not a drop off point. All Double Yellow Lines indicate NO PARKING or WAITING. Local residents have also complained about parents blocking the roads around Potley Hill estate and making it difficult to access their driveways. Please use the marked parking bays in all the car parks, as sitting in the centre of the car park waiting to pick up or drop of causes more issues for people trying to park correctly in bays. To ease congestion it would help if parents could implement a NO RIGHT TURN out of Potley Hill Road, taking everyone to the roundabout to turn there and come back along the Reading Road towards Blackwater, Sandhurst and Camberley. Thank you. PARENT COUNCIL Our next parent council meeting is on Tuesday 24 th January at 7.30pm in the staffroom. All parents are welcome to attend. FOOTBALL Last night, our year 5/6 boy’s football team played the first round of the Standing Cup against St Michael’s CE Junior School. It was a very exciting game with the score being 3-2 to us after the first half thanks to a hat trick from Callum. Then, as the floodlights and St Michael’s awoke, the score was 3-3 at full time. In a nail-biting 5 minutes of extra time both teams scored once more, Leo for us, to finish 4-4 meaning we went to dreaded penalties. Liam, Callum and Archie took on the unnerving challenge and thanks to Archie’s incredible goal we won! The team and Miss Bucknell would like to thank Mr Wright, for acting as Assistant Manager, all the parents for their encouragement and the girls’ 5/6 football team for cheering us on. Sadly, St Michael’s did not bring their girls football team, as arranged. Despite the disappointment of missing out on a friendly, the girls remained professional and passionate and decided to take the opportunity to have a training session and support the boys. Their cheerleading made it a great atmosphere and really spurred the lads on. Quote from Archie, Team Captain: “I thought both teams played well but we were better. We can’t wait for the next match!”

Bulletin 20th January 2017

Dear Parents

READATHON

If you have not already done so, please send in your sponsor money by the end of January.

We are currently planning the transformation of the interior of our Big Red Bus and every

penny helps. Thank you to those who have already returned their sponsor money. We will

announce the total and award the prizes for the most money collected early in February.

POLITE REMINDER

We have been asked by the PCSO who cover ‘Frogmore Campus’ to remind our parents

about the etiquette of parking; the disabled bays are for people who really need them, they

are not a drop off point. All Double Yellow Lines indicate NO PARKING or WAITING.

Local residents have also complained about parents blocking the roads around Potley Hill

estate and making it difficult to access their driveways. Please use the marked parking bays

in all the car parks, as sitting in the centre of the car park waiting to pick up or drop of

causes more issues for people trying to park correctly in bays. To ease congestion it

would help if parents could implement a NO RIGHT TURN out of Potley Hill Road,

taking everyone to the roundabout to turn there and come back along the Reading Road

towards Blackwater, Sandhurst and Camberley. Thank you.

PARENT COUNCIL

Our next parent council meeting is on Tuesday 24th January at 7.30pm in the staffroom. All

parents are welcome to attend.
