action plans needed to improve our school in a variety of ways.

This team also helps teachers continue their learning through

professional development opportunities. Our next meeting is

Everyone is welcome to attend a Site Council meeting to hear

and see what is going on behind the scenes at our school. If

Immunizations

Exclusion Date

The exclusion date is fast approaching for

students who are not current with their

immunizations.

What does this mean to you?

Oregon Law (ORS 433.267) requires that all

children attending public schools show

evidence of compliance with state

immunization requirements or have a

non-medical exemption. Most 7th grade

students are still in need of their Tdap booster,

also known as the whooping cough vaccine.

For those of you who have already had this

done and turned in the paperwork, thank you!

If you are not sure if your student is up-to-date,

please call your doctor. If your student is not in

compliance by February 20th, 2019 he/she will

not be able to attend school until we have proof

that all vaccines are current. If you have any

questions, please contact Julie Boekenoogen

at 541-842-3716

Student of the Month As you might already know, McLoughlin is full

of outstanding students; students that are smart,

kind, accepting, gracious etc. One of the ways we recognize

these individual students is by selecting a Student of the

Month. Monthly, team teachers select a student from each

team that they feel exemplify one or more of these character

traits. We are proud to announce, and want to congratulate,

the following students selected for the month of November.

Team 61 - Marcus Johnson

Team 71 - Ellie Taylor

Team 72 - Rachel Rustad

Team 73 - Kiana Patrick

Team 81 - Isaac Madigan

Team 82 - Adrinna Sanchez

Student of Distinction Breakfast

On November 9th, Students of the Month from September and October were honored at our STUDENTS of

DISTICTION BREAKFAST. Mrs. Soter and Mrs. MacLeod host this event and each student was asked to

invite their parents, family members and one staff member to join him/her at their table. The staff member introduces

the student and shares with the audience the accomplishments and character qualities unique to that student. Again

this year, we are privileged to have the Mayor of Medford, Dr. Gary Wheeler, attend to honor our students with a

certificate from the city. This breakfast is a wonderful way to recognize these outstanding students and get to know

them and their families on a more personal level.
