Timber Treatment At Blackdown Buildings all timbers

are pressure impregnated with

preservative by our parent company

Brookridge Timber.

Our standard buildings are supplied

using Treated Pine/Douglas Fir for the

upright timber columns.

It is important when choosing timber as

your preferred frame material that the

right species is selected and timber in

ground contact is treated using the

correct treatment cycle (Use Class 4).

Further information on treatment is

available on request.

Column Upgrade For Improved Service Life

A) Oak To improve the service life of the build-

ing, Structural Oak Columns can be

supplied which are very durable and

naturally more resistant against fungal

decay and insect attack.
