  • We build too many walls & not enough bridges. Isaac Newton

  • The Municipal Engineers Association (MEA) Annual Workshop and General Meeting is held annually in November and it is hosted by different member municipalities throughout Ontario. This year, The City of St. Catharines in partnership with Regional Municipality of Niagara and our neighbouring communities is pleased to host the 57th Annual MEA Workshop at The Holiday Inn and Conference Centre, 327 Ontario Street in the City of St. Catharines from November 23 to 25, 2016.

The theme for this year’s Workshop is Building Bridges. This theme is based on the important role bridges play in our society, both physically and metaphorically. Bridges literally connect people and businesses to one another, linking cities to create a shared land. Without bridges, many municipalities would simply be an island. No city can function in isolation – it takes a community and it takes partnerships to create unity. That’s where the power of the bridge lies. A bridge is a linking of ideas, an invitation to others to collaborate and to share. Where a wall divides, a bridge unites.

Hello.Welcome to the 2016 Annual MEA Workshop and General Meeting.
