dashboard• Game Changer with Widnes Vikings – rolling out to 11 Super League

Enabling Social Movement

Inspiring Schools

• Through schools signing the ‘Game Changer Pledge’, children are challenged to be active for 80 minutes per day.

• Schools participate in a 24 week Game Changer intervention: 12 weeks delivered by Widnes Vikings, 12 weeks delivered by the school.

• School Teachers are upskilled around how they can embed more physical activity within the school day.

• Game Changer is supported by regular player appearances in the school through their role as health ambassadors who advocate the message for children to participate in regular physical activity and

eat healthy.

• Cohort One: 12 Week Data (Sep 16 – Jan 17)

• Data taken at week 12 and assessed against week 1 baseline.

Overall Participant %

• 60% reduced their Waist Circumference measurement

• 63% improved their Standing Long Jump Score

• 60% improved their Hand Grip Strength

• 65% improved their Bleep Test Score

• 50% improved their Shuttle Test Score
