As a young Brussels startup, BC materials is growing and wants to expand (to be able) to follow up on bigger orders. We are looking for investors who want to take this unique opportunity to help grow our company and change the construction sector into a more sustainable and circular player.
“That circular building is growing in this country, thanks to innovative entrepreneurs and organizations like BC materials, who not only have a good circular idea, but who also turn it into
a valuable business.”

It’s the building of the future, will you help us build that future?
1 Every year in Belgium 37 million tons of earth is excavated: that is the equivalent of 100 trucks a day transporting earth all year through.
BC materials uses excavated earth1 - ‘waste’- to produce building materials such as clay plasters, compressed earth bricks and rammed earth.
Our materials cause no pollution and have a great effect on air quality and acoustics.
They are perfectly circular (infinite reusability) and can be produced in a CO2-neutral way.
With the Tax Shelter you can invest in a sustainable future and obtain a tax reduction of 45%.

We are launching an investment opportunity to raise 150.000 euros. As a cooperative we offer different opportunities to invest in our company, and have a stake in reducing waste and creating beautiful & healthy environments.
The innovation BC materials brings is crucial, meets a real need and the positive environmental impact of mainstreaming their product could be tremendous. It’s a very inspiring project that
proposes a high-potential answer to the urgent needs for a more circular economy.

What is the Tax Shelter for startups2 ?
The federal tax shelter for startups offers 45% reduction in personal taxes. So, investing in BC materials is not only investing in a more sustainable world, it will give you a 45% reduction in taxes: for every 1000 euro investment, €450 cash back on the amount you would have to pay in income tax.
For example: Daniel & Carine are both retired with a solid income. They pay personal taxes a rato of 10.000 euro a year. In 2020 they’re planning to invest 5000 euro in BC materials, so they can bring into reduction 45% of that amount, or 2250 euro in 2021. We will send you a certificate with the right amount of deduction that you can use.
What about dividends?
So far, BC materials has *not* offered any dividends to its shareholders: no startup usually pays dividends in its first years because its shareholders know maintaining a long term stable profit perspective is the most important.

What has happened so far?
• Without a big marketing budget or stand on big building fairs we’ve already produced and sold 100 tons in 2019.
• 2019 ends with a great vote of confidence: SE’NSE fund (by serial entrepreneur Pierre Mottet) selects BC materials among a hundred candidates as a SE’NSE laureate 2019 (with an investment of 50.000 euros.)
• In 2020 four different colors of earth plasters are reformulated and presented, our showroom is finished, the website upgraded. Newspapers and tv-interviews follow, to even national German television ARD, who uses BC materials as an example of circular economy for the European Green Deal.
• That same Green Deal that was announced by the European Commission and made it very clear: the future is circular.
• In March, during Batibouw 2020, BC materials is praised & lauded with a Pioneer Award at the Belgian Building Awards, by an independent jury.
Did you know that?
• The construction sector is the most polluting sector in the world, responsible for over 1/3 of the air pollution, 30% of global waste and up to 40% of C02 emissions?
• More than 54% of building companies wants to work in a more circular way?

Our future?
We’ve produced 100 tons in 2019 and want to increase that in 2020 to 300 tons, and doubling our return the coming year.
We’ve signed a letter of intent with Beliris, the building client of the subway of Brussels, and Atenor, developper of the CCN railway station North in Brussels. We’re looking at starting to make a profit from 2023, and increase our return to a fivefold (from 115K to 565K) in 2024.

“ The young Brusselian start-up BC Materials is showcasing a European premiere. They are giving second life to excavated earths, transforming them into compressed earth blocks, clay plasters and rammed earth. In doing so, they are transforming waste product into circular building materials.
No one else does that in Europe.” *
Michel Lauwers, L’Echo
*The project Cycle-Terre was the first to conceptualize this method, and under the mentorship of its partners, BC materials is the first to implement and operationalize, while Cycle-Terre is
building a specialized factory.”
