Celebrate 2016 The Float @ Marina Bay (8pm till late, $38 to $168) Mediacorp’s countdown concert will feature US singer Adam Lambert, as well as local acts such as Taufik Batisah, Inch Chua and The Lion City Boy. Siloso Beach Party Siloso Beach, Sentosa Island (6pm till 6am, $55 to $65) Dance through the night at Siloso Beach’s neon-themed blowout, headlined by Dutch DJ and producer Don Diablo. Countdown @ North Open field in between North Woodlands Way and North Woodlands Link (7pm till midnight, free) About 8,000 residents are expected at this heartland event, which will include performances by Hossan Leong and Sufie Rashid, as well as game booths and a zumba workout. Ang Mo Kio and Sengkang West Countdown Party Sengkang Riverside Park (10pm till 12.30am, free) Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will join about 2,000 residents at this heartland party, where participants can decorate pledge cards and paint sky lanterns with their hopes for the future. Clarke Quay Countdown Party Fountain Square, Clarke Quay (10pm till late, free) The circus comes to Clarke Quay, with performances by a fire twirler, juggler and music by local band 53A and New Stream Brass Band, a Singapore-based New Orleans-style brass band. Universal Studios Dance in the Park Universal Studios Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa (5pm till 1.30am, $38 to $48) Dance alongside street dancers and stiltwalkers at the Resorts World Sentosa theme park, and join characters such as the Minions from Despicable Me in counting down to 2016. Zouk: The Final Victory Zouk, 17 Jiak Kim Street (10pm till late, $40) Zouk marks its final countdown at its Jiak Kim Street premises with a Neverland-themed dance party featuring infinity mirrors, candy floss trees and aerialists on swings. Marina Bay Singapore Countdown Various locations around Marina Bay (3pm till late, free) The largest countdown celebration in Singapore, with close to 300,000 revellers expected to pack the area. It begins at 3pm with the Marina Waterfront Bazaar, and will include an hourly light show on The Fullerton Hotel facade, culminating in an eight-minute-long fireworks display that will span the whole bay. When it comes to ringing in the new year, Singaporeans have a plethora of parties to choose from. The largest countdown celebration will be at Marina Bay, where a crowd of 300,000 is expected to throng the waterfront for an eight-minute fireworks display. Revellers can also dance through the night at venues such as Siloso Beach or iconic nightclub Zouk. For those who would rather party closer to home, there will be heartland festivities in Woodlands and Sengkang. Partygoers: Dos and don’ts Avoid driving and take public transport.
