Buckingham Manufacturing New Products

Buckingham's line of rigging blocks (also known as a false crotch) are designed to eliminate virtually all friction when remov-

ing heavy limbs. Also used to create a crotch where a natural one is not available.

Designed to reduce premature wear on climbing lines and eliminate damage to tree limbs normally caused by excess friction! Allows the user to install the blocks high

into a tree without climbing: the blocks are set, and removed, from theground or another tree using a plastic ball, a throwline and throwbag.

The dual housings are color coded to distinguish which block has the

small opening to anchor the plastic ball for setup and removal. Once set, the two part rope channel snaps together using powerful magnets inset

within the system’s self aligning frame. When installed, the BuckBlocksRigging System creates a basket style hitch which results in evenly loading

the two legs of the sling. The design is lightweight, provides a better bend

radius for rope, an improved running surface with its dual rotating sheaves and the rope sling can easily be replaced. Designed in conjunction with Arborists

 Scott Winningham and Scott Prophett.

The BuckBlocks Rigging System is rated to a working load limit of 3 tons. Sheave capacity: 5/8” rope.

Daily Climber Inspection Requirements• Visible Cracks - usually a ne jagged line• Cuts or marks in the steel - create stress risers causing the

climber to break at that point

• Make sure loop on climber sleeve is secure

• Make sure footstrap ring or loop is secured to climber stirrup• Use two fasteners to secure the sleeve to the climber• Inspect climber straps for cuts and excessive wear

• Make sure the pad loops are secure and free of cuts and arenot worn thin

• Inspect climber stirrup to be sure it's not worn too thin

IF ANY OF THESE CONDITIONS EXIST, DISCONTINUEUSE IMMEDIATELY.

Proper Fit & ComfortBuckingham believes that proper t and comfort affect a person’s ability to climb. An ill-ttingclimber distracts the wearer. This is why we offer the industry’s widest choice of climber styles andfeatures.

How to Size Your ClimberProper t is important to your comfort and safety. Correct climber length is normally measured fromthe boot sole under the instep to a point 1/2" below the bone projection just below the knee joint.

There are long sleeves available and they are generally preferred by people over 6’2". NOTE:   Pullyour pant cuffs up slightly just below the knee before fastening the leg strap... it provides greatermobility to climb.

How to Order ClimbersThe proper t of a climber requires the leg iron, with pad attached, to extend from the instep to about ½” below the bot-

tom of the inside projection of the knee joint.Climber adjustment varies based on style of climber and the sleeve length. Standard length sleeves 9204 are included

unless long sleeves are requested by adding the sufx ‘L’ to the product number.

Standard sleeves permit leg length adjustment from 16 1/4" to 18 3/4" for standard width stirrup climbers [40cm to 48cm]using two fasteners, 14 1/2" to 17 1/4" [37cm to 42cm] with narrow stirrup style climbers.Long sleeves 9202 may be ordered at a slight extra cost. These permit length adjustment from 19 1/4" to 21 3/4" [48cm to

55cm] for standard width stirrup climbers, 17 1/4" to 20 1/4" [37cm to 51cm] with narrow stirrup climbers. Add sufx ‘L’ tothe climber catalog number for long sleeves.

Tape Measuring

Strength & Reliability• Buckingham climber leg irons are manufactured from selected high

strength grades of steel and titanium. Gaffs are forged from a quality steel.• Before, during and after manufacturing Buckingham climbers from every

production lot undergo rigorous testing. They are subjected to physicalabuse far beyond that encountered in normal use.

• Ductility Test: Leg irons are bent 180° around a two inch diameter man-drel. Gaff tips are bent 3/4" beyond normal position. Tested climbers arethen examined by magnaux to check for cracks.

• Gaff security is checked then reexamined for loose gaffs.• Hardness of steel in both leg irons and gaffs are rechecked through Rockwell readings.

• Gaffs are magnaux inspected to ensure there are no aws in the forging.• Upon completion, every climber is reviewed to insure the gaff angle, position and the contour meets very tight tolerance• Once the gaff has been nal honed, it is inspected to make sure width, thickness, length, and radius meet the specied

requirements.

• Random sample climbers are fatigue cycle tested to simulate a lineman climbing a pole.• The deformation test is to aid in the elimination of climber fatigue in the event a climber is used in an unusual manner

such as descending a pole with large steps.• Buckingham climbers are tested for persons with weight up to 350 lbs when fully equipped.

This is what happened to a climber with a stressriser. Someone chiseled their initial 'L' into theclimber shank. It eventually broke in the spotthe shank was initialed.

RULE OF THUMB: BUCKINGHAM RECOMMENDS THAT ALL REPLACEABLE GAFF CLIMBERS BE

REPLACED WHEN THE ORIGINAL GAFF AND ONE REPLACEMENT SET OF GAFFS HAVE BEEN WORN OUT

FROM NORMAL USE.

PROPER GAFF SHARPENING PROCEDUREA climber gaff improperly sharpened may be as dangerous as a gaff not sharpened at all. The gaff radius tip

is critical for gaff penetration. A needle point gaff could result in breakage. Follow the instructions to be sure ofproper maintenance and have a qualied person inspect your work.

1. Place climber in a clamp with blockson each side to protect the climber.

2. File gaff from heel to tip in a smooth over

and down motion. Hint - color in gaff with blackmarker to ensure you are taking material off

evenly. Never le across or against the grain asit creates stress risers which may cause gaff to

break. Never le the beehive of gaff.

3. Slot marked “Correct” on the gaff

gauge should be your GUIDE to propershaping of the gaff tip.   4. Never use a pole gaff shorter than 1 1/4" long.

Never use a tree gaff shorter than 2 1/4" long.

6. Check thickness of stirrup to ensure it is thick

enough to support your weight.

5. Check gaff width and thickness at the 1/2"and 1" windows as illustrated in the instruc-

tions included with the gaff gauge.

HOW TO PERFORM THE POLE CUT OUT TEST FOR TREE & POLE CLIMBERS

(C) Making certain that the strap loopis held against the pole with pressure

from the leg, gradually exert full pres-sure of the foot straight down on the

stirrup without raising the other foot offthe ground so as to maintain balance if

the gaff does not hold.

(A) Place the climber on the leg, holdingthe sleeve with the hand, palm facing

the pole. With the leg at about a 30°

angle to the pole and the foot about 12inches off the ground, lightly jab the gaff

into the pole to a distance of approxi-

mately 1/4".

(D) The point of the gaff shall cut intothe wood and hold. The pole surfacecut shall not be longer than 2 inches,

measured from the point of gaff entry

into the pole to the bottom of the cuton the pole surface.

(B) Keeping enough pressure on thestirrup to keep the gaff in the pole but

not so much as to cause the gaff to

penetrate any deeper, push the climb-er and the hand toward the pole by

moving the knee until the strap loop of

the sleeve is against the pole.

INSPECTION IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

RULE OF THUMB - REPLACEABLE GAFF - CLIMBERS SHOULD BE CHANGED OUT ONLY ONCE IF

ORIGINAL SET WEARS OUT THROUGH NORMAL USE.

HOW TO PERFORM THE PLANE TEST FOR TREE & POLE CLIMBERSThis test may be used to determine that the gaff is correctly shaped and sharpened to properly penetrate the pole.

Place the climber on a at, soft pine or cedar board as shown in Fig. 1 below. Holding it upright with the shank paral-lel to the board, but with no pressure on the stirrup, push the climber forward along the board. If the gaff is properly

shaped and sharpened and if the gaff angle with the wood is sufcient, the gaff point will dig into the wood and beginto hold within a distance of approximately 1" (2.54cm). If the climber gaff slides along the wood without digging in, or

merely eaves a mark or groove in the wood as shown in Fig. 2 the gaff is either not properly sharpened and shaped orthe gaff angle is too small. The gaff angle is built into the climber by the manufacturer and should be between 11 and 17

degrees with the climber placed parallel to the surface of the wood.

Pin Style Steel Replaceable Gaffs

Buckingham Replacement GaffsThe Buckingham replaceable gaff climber came to being in WWI so the servicemen could climb both trees and

poles, and if gaffs became damaged it was easier to carry spare gaffs rather than a whole set of climbers. Weoffer two styles of replaceable gaffs: we continue to supply the original with driv-lok pin attachment for those

types of climbers still in the eld and the screw style, available on our titanium and steel replaceable climbers.

GAFF REMOVAL1. Secure the climber such that the heads of the hex head fasteners are facing you

(Buckingham Mfg. recommends using a vise with protective jaw covers or smallwooden blocks to secure the climber).

2. With a 5/32” hex head wrench loosen and remove the two hex head screws. See

g. 1.3. To remove the gaff from the climber place the gaff on a soft surface such as a

block of wood and strike the ridge of the gaff 5/8” from the tip of the gaff. The gaffwill come out of the slot. See g. 2.

4. Ensure no damage is done to the climber or climber slot.

GAFF INSTALLATION1. The climber slot and gaff lug are both manufactured for a precision t. The climb-

ers are then given a protective powder coat nish that may impede the insertion ofgaff into climber slot. The nish may be removed from the boss hole and the gafflug with ne emery cloth.

2. Press the front of the gaff lug into the climber leg iron slot. (A light coat of grease

will ease insertion). It may be necessary to drive the gaff in by striking the back

ridge of the gaff on a soft surface such as a block of wood. See Fig. 33. Insert the two black grade 8 screws and tighten using a 5/32” x 2 ¾” length Allen

wrench. Hand tighten with maximum torque to achieve complete and maximum

tightness. This method can yield Buckingham’s 136 inch pound tightening rec-ommendation for these fasteners. Note: use of a longer wrench can yield resultsexceeding the 136 inch pound recommendation and result in stripping of the screwhead. Visually inspect to ensure screw heads are ush with the inside surface of

the climber leg iron. See g. 4.4. Screw fasteners should be replaced after the rst time removed. If re-using, apply

a low to medium strength thread sealant (Loctite® or equivalent) to prevent screwsfrom loosening. Screws may not be removable if a permanent type thread sealant

is used.

How to Change Pin Style Gaffs on Buckingham Climbers

GAFF REMOVAL1. Drive Lock Pins are always driven in from the right side of

the climber and must be driven out from the left side. 2.

To determine the left side hold the climber parallel to the

ground with the gaff on top and gaff tip pointing away fromyour body (see Fig. 1).

3. Secure the climber such that the left edge (as determined in

step 2) is facing up. Buckingham Mfg. recommends using a

vise with protective jaw covers or small wooden blocks to

prevent the climber from being marred (Fig. 2).

4. Drive the installed pin part way out with one of the sup-

plied extra pins or a straight sided punch (smaller than 1/8”

diameter, but not less than 3/32”) so it may be grasped and

removed with piers or a vise. ·If using an extra pin drive the

smooth side of the pin through the pinhole. Do not drive the

uted portion of the pin into the pinhole (see Fig. 9). ·If using

a punch drive the inserted pin through the pinhole and remove punch.

5a. If using pliers grasp the inserted pin and pull downward. Grasp the driven pin and pull

upward (Fig. 3). (Rotating the pin while pulling may ease removal).5b. If using a vise place the exposed portion of the installed pin in the vise and tighten.

Place a small block of wood against the climber. While holding the climber strike the

wood block with a hammer until the pin is removed (Fig. 4). Rotate the climber and re-

move the other pin. Never directly strike the climber with a steel hammer.

6. To remove the gaff from the climber, strike the ridge of the gaff approximately ½” from

the tip on a soft surface such as a block of wood (Fig. 5). Ensure no damage is done to

the climber or climber slot.

7. Repeat the above procedure for your other climber.

PARTS LIST• May include any one pair of the following Gaffs: PN 9106 for climbing hard CCA poles, PN 9206 for climbing stan-

dard poles or PN 9306 for climbing trees.

GAFF INSTALLATION1. The climber slot and gaff lug are both manufac-

tured for a precision t. They are then given a

protective powder coat nish that may impede

the insertion of gaff into climber slot. This nish

may be removed from the boss hole and the gaff

lug with ne emery cloth.

2. Press the front of the gaff lug into the front of the

climber slot (Fig. 6). (A light coat of grease will

ease insertion).

3. It may be necessary to drive the gaff in by strik-

ing the top ridge of the lug end of the gaff on asoft surface such as a block of wood (Fig. 7).

4. Ensure the pinholes of the gaff and the climber

slot are properly aligned.

5. Lightly grease the smooth end of the Drive Lock Pin (Fig 9).

6. Insert smooth end of the Drive Lock Pin into the pinhole on the right side of the

climber (See Gaff Removal step 2 to determine the right or left side of the climber).

7. Using a hammer squarely strike the Drive Lock Pin so that it passes completely

through the lug of the gaff and into the climber pinhole on the left side (Fig. 8). The

head of the pin should be ush with the right side of the climber.

Buckingham Manufacturing  has been producing climbers in

Binghamton, NY since 1896. The same craftsmanship that went into our

climbers over a century ago is still in effect at Buckingham today. This vast

experience combined with modern technology helps to keep Buckingham on

the cutting edge of climber development.

Buckingham's latest climber development is the Titanium climber. Titanium is

a strong, light metal. It is strong like steel, 45% lighter than steel and is twice as

strong as aluminum.

All these characteristics of titanium give this climber it's strength, durabilityand lightweight character making Buckingham Titanium climbers safe, and

comfortable as well as a providing an excellent return on investment due to

durability.

The Buckingham Titanium is the strongest, lightest and most versatile•

American Made climber on the market.

The Buckingham Titanium allows for a non contoured, contoured and even•

a twisted shank in a light weight climber. Current aluminum climbers in themarketplace do not have the versatility to offer these benets.

The Buckingham Titanium is much more durable than other lightweight•

climbers. The suggested life of the Buckingham Titanium is the original set of

gaffs and one replacement through normal use. Current aluminum climbers

in the marketplace suggest replacement after 5 years.

The Buckingham Titanium offers an optional patented “serrated” CCA gaff.•

This gaff offers the best penetration available for CCA poles. This Gaff is

available for all Buckingham climbers.

The Buckingham Titanium with its lower gaff position and 16 degree gaff•

angle offers 'extra forgiveness'. This is an excellent benet especially for new

apprentices.

CLIMBER PADS

Climber pads are a major factor in the user’s comfort. At Buckingham we offer more styles ofpad options than any manufacturer.

The 3118 Big Buck climber pad utilizes a double strap

system, that ts 1” and 1 1/4” straps, to secure the

pad to the calf resulting in superior support of the leg.

Requires 2 pair of leg straps and comes with a pair

of 2639 straps. An angled metal insert prevents the

climber shank from shifting on the calf and the thick

padding adds to the overall comfort making this climber

pad a favorite among linemen and arborists.

Saddles and Belts

We have been designing new saddles and belts, and improving existing ones, since the turn of the century.

Most new ideas are the result of talking to our customers.

All saddles manufactured by Buckingham are made from the nest quality components. They are tested to meet our

standards, which meet or exceed OSHA, ANSI (A10.14 Type II) and all other regulations. Some saddles are CE marked.

We have the widest selection of saddle designs in the industry with models ranging from deluxe to economy. All feature the

same quailty, but vary relative to the comfort features and weight.

Saddle Options

• Number of “D” rings: 3 or 4

• Width of back support: 3” (76mm) to 8” (205mm) wide (padded or not padded)

• Seat sections: individual leg straps, butt straps with leg straps, or batten seat for the most comfort and support

We offer two types of “D” rings: one made to stop at 45 for ease of snap engagement with one hand and another

without the stop clip so the dee ring can rotate 180 .

Waist straps are made from woven nylon with grommets, woven nylon used in conjunction with a friction buckle or

6-ply neoprene impregneted nylon (Nybuck).

Fit is important to comfort. Be sure to allow for wear over heavy clothing.

Typically Fit for A Person With Waist SizeX-Small 24-28

Small 28-32

Medium 32-36

Large 36-40

X-Large 40-44

Although, Buckingham can provide you with the highest quailty equipment available, safety is still your

responsibilty. Part of that responsibility is checking belts and saddles before each use for:

• Cracks, nicks, distortion, or corrosion of hardware • Loose stitching, broken threads or burns

• Loose or worn rivets • Loose grommets or elongated holes on waist strap

• Worn material • Accessory snaps and rings that are not working

• Destroy any or all equipment subjected to impact loading properly

If any of these conditions exist, discontinue use of product, destroy and replace with new equipment.

Guidelines for Use of Saddles and Belts

• Know and follow ANSI Z-133.1 regulations.

• Use these products for positioning and suspension only

• The use of fall arrest equipment is highly recommended in addition to the use of saddles and belts

• Only attach connecting devices meeting work positioning and suspension standards and regulations to

saddle/belt dee rings/attachment points.

• Only work positioning connecting devices should be attached to side dee rings. Side dee rings are not

intended for fall arrest.

• Saddle/belt dee rings and attachment points are designed for work positioning and suspension use only.

Never attach a chainsaw or rigging line to a saddle/belt dee ring or attachment point.

• Positioning and suspension anchor points must support your weight plus any job related load.

• Maximum load capacity for accessory hooks and rings is 25 pounds (11.3 kilograms).

• Arborists shall be tied in or secured while ascending the tree and remain tied in or secured until the work is

completed and they have returned to the ground.

• Arborists shall use a second point of attachment (work positioning lanyard or double-crotched rope) when

operating a chain saw in a tree.

As is true with all personal protective equipment, connecting devices should be used only bytrained professionals. Each time a connecting device is used, it should be inspected for suchthings as:

• cracks, nicks, distortion or corrosion in hardware

• loose stitching, broken threads or burns

• loose or improperly-peened rivets

• improperly-operating (locking & standard) keepers

• worn material

If a connecting device is subjected to a fall, remove it from service.

Each Time Equipment Is Used It Should Be Inspected

OUR CONNECTING DEVICES

Things to Remember When Using a Connecting Device

• Know and follow ANSI Z133.1 regulations.

• Always use a locking rope snap hook or self closing positive locking carabiner.• Never rely on the sound of the snap hook connecting with the “D” ring. Always visually

inspect the connection, even after taking pressure off ring and snap hook.

• Never defeat the locking mechanism.

• Never connect snap hooks together.

• Never expose a rope or web lanyard to a sharp object.

• Never use a deceleration device for work positioning.

• Never let a rope or web lanyard come into contact with extreme heat.

• Never attach a web lanyard back onto itself or attach multiple lanyards together.

• Destroy any and all equipment subjected to impact loading.

Since the introduction of throw bags and slickline, climbers have been able to achievehigher placements of climbing line over desired limbs from the ground. With a little

practice, the throw bag can be tossed into a tree with accuracy up to 75'. Throw bagsare available in weights ranging from 12 oz.-20 oz., in a wide variety of colors and

materials including TNX (vinyl coated), Tuff Duck, Magna Tuff, Cordura and leather.

Sold separately or packaged with 1/8" slickline. See below for ordering information.Buckingham Throwbags have a tighter, more aerodynamic design. All seams are

reinforced with two rows of stitching, and the steel ring is fastened with five rowsof stitching for added durability.

The Big Shot

The Big Shot is designed to launch a shot pouch (8 to 16 oz.) with a light line

attached over a tree limb so a friction saver or climbing line can be pulled intoplace with little practice. A vertical distance of over 100’ is easily achieved with

great accuracy. The Big Shot head is designed to t quick connect berglass

Friction saver showninstalled in tree.

Installation of Friction Saver or BuckBlocks• Place throw bag over a solid branch with throw line.

• With two legs of throw line hanging over the branch, tie throw bag on the outside of the small ring or red block (with

throw ball) and insert the other end of the throw line through the large ring or black block.• Pull the end of the throw line with the large ring or the black block so the bag pulls the small ring or red block up rst

with the large ring or black block trailing on the throw line (see Illustration 1).• Just prior to the small ring reaching the branch, give a quick tug pulling the small ring or red block over the branch

and letting the throw bag to drop to the ground (see Illustration 2). The Friction Saver/BuckBlock is now over thebranch and the throw line is going through the rings/blocks. Tie the climbing line onto one end of the throw line and

pull through the rings or blocks.

Model RP110 Micro Pulley

Model 251B1 Bronze Snap

Split Tail and Micro Pulley"tied in" and ready to climb.

Split Tail and Micro PulleyThe Micro Pulley is an inexpensive piece of equipment withmultiple uses and benets. Attaching a micro pulley to your climb-

ing line (shown below) eliminates the need to advance the friction

hitch while climbing. This can be done by the ground man by pull-ing slack from the line as the climber ascends. Another benet of

the micro pulley is that it maintains a fair lead between the climbingline and friction hitch. When dropping through limbs and changing

direction of the falling end of the climbing line, the friction hitch can

be very difcult or impossible to operate. The use of a micro pulleymakes it easy, even without clearing the falling end of the climbing

line over the limb you have just dropped below. Another use of themicro pulley is with the 2 in 1 Safety Prusik Lanyard (shown below) it

gives the user easy adjustability with one hand.

The Buckingham Tear Away Chainsaw Lanyard with the built-in

bungee is designed for safety and convenience. It is con-structed with a tear away safety pack that activates when 200

lbs. of force is applied. This feature eliminates the possibility ofthe user being pulled out of a tree if the saw gets hung up on

a falling limb. It measures up to 50" fully extended to provide

ample reach when cutting, but with the elastic bungee con-tracts to 32" when relaxed. This greatly reduces the possibility

of getting tangled when climbing or working aloft. The saw,if dropped will fall below the user's feet without falling to the

ground. To use, simply half hitch lanyard to the handle of the

chainsaw, and attach to climbing saddle using a 1 1/8" steelring, #2 bronze snap or 3/4" diameter loop. A 1 3/4" steel ring

is used to suspend the chainsaw when not in use. Available inblack or easy-to-see Hi-Vis Neon Yellow. See below for order-

ing information.

!Designed to reduce premature wear on climbing lines and eliminate damage to tree limbs normally caused

by excess friction! Allows the user to install the blocks high into a tree without climbing: the blocksare set, and removed, from the ground or another tree using a plastic ball,

a throwline and throwbag. The dual housings are color coded to distin-guish which block has the small opening to anchor the plastic ball for

setup and removal. Once set, the two part rope channel snaps togetherusing powerful magnets inset within the system’s self aligning frame. Wheninstalled, the BuckBlocks Rigging System creates a basket style hitch

which results in evenly loading the two legs of the sling. The design islightweight, provides a better bend radius for rope, an improved running

surface with its dual rotating sheaves and the rope sling can easily be

replaced. Designed in conjunction with Arborists Scott Winningham andScott Prophett.

The BuckBlocks Rigging System is rated to a working load limit of 3 tons.

Sheave capacity: 5/8” rope.

THE IMPROVED PORT-A-WRAP III

There isn't much we accept as good enough at Buckingham. First there

was the Port-A-Wrap; a good design, but with limited features. Then

there was the Port-A-Wrap II, a great improvement with a rope reten-tion bar and a second eye for lifting limbs when used with Model 601BT

shown below. Now there is the Port-A-Wrap III, designed with everythingnoted, plus more.

• More user friendly, designed to make attachment of rigging line

easier.• Secure rope retention bar - eliminates loss of wrap.

• Stronger, more durable construction.• Safe working load of 2000 lbs.

Shock Absorbing Lanyards (ANSI Z359.1-2007)

The Buckingham deceleration lanyards reduce the impact force of a 220 pound (100 Kg) steel mass to less than 900 pounds

(318 Kg) in a six-foot (1.8 m) free fall. By contrast, in the same test, the arrest force of a rope lanyard is in the area of 2400lbs. (1089 Kg) and 2800 lbs. (1270 Kg) for a web lanyard. Shock-absorbing lanyards are not intended for work positioning,

suspension or retrieval. When 600 lbs. of force is exerted, the Buckingham shock absorbing lanyard starts to expand which

may extend an additional 3 1/2 feet (1.1 m) before arresting the fall. Shock absorbing lanyards and full body harnesses that

have been in a fall should be discarded and replaced with new equipment.

Buckingham Manufacturing offers fourdifferent styles of shock absorbing lanyards.Standard design  shock absorbing lanyardsare returnable and can be ordered in 4', 4 1/2'

and 6' lengths. Buckingham Manufacturing

also allows you to design a shock absorbinglanyard from our matrix, specifying connec-

tion options and lengths. We’ll manufacturethe shock absorbing lanyard to accommodate

your needs. Matrix designed shock absorbing

lanyards are not considered standard design  and therefore are not returnable.

High Elevation Self-Rescue System

Should there be a need to self-rescue or rescue someone else froman elevated height, such as an inoperable bucket truck, the new

Buckingham 101SR makes it easy. The Buckingham 101SR provides allthe components required to self-rescue or if the need arises to rescue afellow employee. The 101SR descender will automatically stop the user

until the user compresses the handle allowing a smooth controlleddescent. An additional built in (anti-panic) safety feature stops descent

if the user compresses the handle too hard. This unit will allow the

rescuer the advantage of lowering a hurt person with ease as well. The101SR kit comes with retrot rappelling straps that can be added to an

THE HURT MAN BUCKET TRUCK BASKET REMOVAL 3813Should a fellow employee experience an accident where they fall to the bottom of the basket oor, removingthem without a mechanical advantage can be near impossible. The 3813, with the stainless steel block andtackle provides a lifting ratio of 5 to 1 with 95' of double braid, 11 mm rope. Since harnesses are predominately

used in bucket trucks, the ability to lift the victim higher is a must to clear the top of the basket. Buckingham hasaddressed this by a higher mount on the boom and a lower cord to deploy and activate the block and tackle

system.3813
