In the Pacific, up to 90 per cent of animal protein comes
from fish. Fishing is the primary or secondary source of
income for up to 50 per cent of households, ensuring the
sustainability of these resources directly contributes to
efforts towards SDGs 1, 2, 8 and 14.
GOAL:
Increase sustainability of Pacific
Fisheries, decrease impact and reduce
worker exploitation by creating a
transparent and traceable supply chain
solution for the fresh and frozen tuna
supply chain

1. RFID and QR codes
used to capture
information throughout
the supply chain.
2. RFID tag affixed
when the fish comes on
board vessel, which
follows the fish
3. Registers

devices positioned on
the vessel, the dock, the
processing facility.
