The DfE has agreed to give a separate discount code for the dance pathway of the Pearson BTEC Level 1/Level 2 Tech Award in Performing Arts. The following information is on the latest version of the DfE 14-16 performance table discount codes.

This means that the following combinations are possible:

• Performing Arts + Performing Arts (with a Dance Approach)

• Performing Arts (with a Dance Approach) + Performing Arts (with a Production Approach)

• Performing Arts (with a Dance Approach) + GCSE Drama

• Performing Arts + GCSE Dance

• Performing Arts (with a Production Approach) + GCSE Dance

It is not possible to have a combination of Performing Arts + Performing Arts (with a Production Approach).

Learners choosing these combinations must spend the appropriate amount of teaching and learning for both qualifications so that learners have the necessary preparation for assessment. They will need to complete separate briefs for each award. They should be seen as separate qualifications with different work submitted for each Component.
