Brush Basics The Brush Tool is one of the most versatile, powerful tools in Photoshop; this sheet is for brush beginners. Click on the brush in the Toolbar, or hit the shortcut (B). You will see several options appear in the tool options bar across the top. Click this tiny drop-down to see your basic brush options How big your brush will be. You can also use the bracket keys to change brush size. How fuzzy the edge of the brush will be. Hardness of 100% will give you a smooth, flat edge with no transition. The angle of the brush. If you’re using a non-symmetrical brush, you can change its angle here. Recent brushes - the last brushes you used Brush collections - A brush file (.abr) may contain multiple brushes. This family contains a set of cloud brushes. Brush collections can be saved and shared. Many are available on the Internet. Brushes - Click on the brush you want to use.
