Special featuresThe maximum capacity of flash tubes available for the Primo lamp base is 1600 J resp. 3200 J. Attached to each flash tube there is a sticker with the inscription "max. 1600 J" resp. "3200 J" which is to be placed onto the blue space on the lamp plug. The Primo lamp must not be charged with a higher value than indicated on this sticker.

Both voltage versions (110 V and 220 V) can be operated at the other vol-tage by replacing the halogen lamp. The only difference between the two versions is the standard modelling light socket.

For price reason, the UV filter coating on the Primo lamp base has been applied directly onto the flash tube for 1600 J. The clear protecting glass does not have any optical effect. The UV filter coating on the 3200 J flash tube for thermal reason has been applied onto the protecting glass. If a uniform fitting of all lamp base types is intended, the Primo lamp base may be fitted with clear flash tube 1600 J and coated protecting glass as well.

Pulso Hazy lamp bases 2, 4 are fitted with glass counter-reflectors for uniform light distribution. Flooter has been modified in its light reflecting part. This results in an increase of the light output - especially in the wide angle - which may amount up to 0.9 f-stops. A Pulso lamp base F2, F4, 8 or Primo lamp base is used as a light source. A light-intensive Fresnel lens with an active diameter of 340 mm guarantees a very favourable degree of efficiency and provides an excellent and high light output. The light angle is adjusted by a handcrank in the range of 20ƒ to 70ƒ, depending on the lamp base used. To limit the light angle further and to modify the light distribution, a honeycomb grid may be used. This grid is held in front of the Fresnel lens by a replaceable steel sheet frame. This frame is fitted with attachment facilities for a colour filter. The familiar Pulso bayonet bracket may be used to fix the Primo and Pulso F2/F4/8 lamp base to the Flooter housing
