From April 14 to 19, Brokis participated in the EUROLUCE exhibition during the prestigious Salone del Mobile trade fair in Milan, Italy. The company unveiled the new Lightline collection by renowned Czech designer and Brokis Art Director Lucie Koldova as well as several other new products, including the stylish variable lights Flutes, a new wall version for last year’s popular Mona collection, and a range of enticing new material and color options.

and monumental sculptural object. Hand-pressed glass is used to craft the base, onto which the closed hand-blown glass body of the lamp is fitted. The light source projects its glow upon the top etched plane of the lamp, which in profile appears as a thin line of light hovering over the translucent body of the lamp.

FLUTES – variability and styleFlutes were created as suspension lights in a project for hotel spaces, but their range of potential applications goes far beyond the boundaries of the project specifications. As the name clearly indicates, inspiration for the new collection was found in the flute, and the four stylized openings in the body of the light not only embrace that source of inspiration, they allow for an even greater degree of variation – the angle at which the light hangs is dependent upon which opening the suspension cable is passed through. Flutes will be sold in several color gradients.

MONA WALL – new enjoyment from lightingMona Wall is the latest addition to the exclusive Mona collection. It joins the existing table, floor, and pendant versions and naturally sustains the singular character of the collection while, at the same time, expanding it with an entirely new type of light. Mona Wall will be available in the same color variations as the other lights in the Mona collection – transparent, opaline, smoke-gray, and transparent black.

New materials and colors for current lights

Among the other items Brokis fans could see for the first time at EUROLUCE were leather straps in black or light-grey for the Mona suspension lamp (01), a new etched-glass finish for the famous Memory lights (02), and a new wooden base made of American walnut in the stylish (03) collection. The Whistle collection (04), introduced last fall, made there its debut featuring reflectors crafted from new materials (copper, brass, chrome) as well as new color options for the glass shades (smoke-grey and smoke-brown). The Shadows were shown completely in a white coat (new white wood) and last but not least collection The Balloons (05) is this year launched with a new chrome reflectors.

Whistle featuring new metal reflectors and glass color options, Balloons with chrome reflectors and Memory with etched-glass finish has been on sale. Sales of Mona with a leather straps and new white Shadows will commance on the 1st of June 2015.
