There is no need formultiple cards for different applications.

The unit issupplied with the Config 600 configurationpackage which gives you fast, intuitive controlfrom a PC. Featuring Windows compatibility,this package allows you to implement a widerange of time-saving options, such as template-based programming and instant configuration,plus automatic generation of documentation,reports, modbus registers and front paneldisplays.

The FloBoss S600 allows both the novice andexpert user to develop a configuration to meetspecific needs. It has all of the capabilities youwould expect from a high-end flow computer:scaling, I/O assignment, constants,communications, etc., are easy to access andmodify.

Using a multiple processor approach, forexample, very high calculation speeds areachieved (e.g. AGA8 in 40mS), while a high-accuracy analog-to-digital converter auto-calibrates every cycle against a high-stabilityreference.

Distribution of the processing workload meansthat performance is maintained, even with afull loading of six streams. Local processingalso means that fast PID loops can beimplemented for control purposes.

The FloBoss S600 offers two RS232 ports withhandshake signals and three differentialcommunications ports. Each of these threeports can be independently configured point-to-point (RS422) or multi-dropped(RS485), supporting both two-wire and four-wire protocol. In addition, there is a 10BaseT(Twisted Pair) Ethernet interface utilizingTCP/IP protocols for flexibility and networkconnectivity. Data can be retrieved andpresented in DDE format allowing customreports to be prepared using variousapplications, including Microsoft Excel.

The processor bus is IEEE standard to alloweasy upgrade when it becomes necessary. Codeis written in ANSI C for the Intel Processor formaximum portability. The PC 104 bus meansthat cards from over 250 suppliers, withcommunications and data storage capabilities,can be added to further enhance the FloBossS600s already impressive capability.
