INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONTECHNOLOGY FOR THE MUSLIMS
WORLD (ICT4M) 2012Theme : "ICT Economic Advancement for Global
Peace"
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) isa common entity that is important and critical in ourday to day activity and task. The use of ICT can im-prove effectiveness and productivity at work placeand home. However, it must be seen as a strengthwhich complements our role and responsibilities asleaders, workers and students of Islam. Information isneeded to effectively perform Dawah and learning, and its practical implementation. Thus, ICT and itsinfrastructure should be considered as a factor in theequation of our duties in the Mosques, schools andorganizations. The main Islamic principles should betaken as guidelines for laying the foundation of Islamic
code of practices in ICT.
The Quran and Sunnah has always been our guide-lines for laying the foundation of Islamic code ofpractice in ICT. Building on the success of the threeICT4M conferences in 2006, 2008 and 2010, Weare proud to jointly organize the 4th ICT4M in Fes,Morocco on 12-14 November, 2012.
