    About IIT Roorkee: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has an illustrious history and aglorious past. It has its foundation in the ThomsonCollege, which was founded in 1847, to traintechnical manpower for construction of Ganga canal.It was the first Engineering College in the thenBritish Empire.     Registration Fee: Registration fee is Rs. 2500/-(Two thousand five hundred only) for students andacademicians and Rs. 3500/- (Three thousand fivehundred only) for industry participants. It includes

    registration kit, lunch and dinner (single author only)on June 1-2, 2012. It does not includeaccommodation charges.

    Guidelines for Author: Length: Not more than 5000 words.

    Title: The title should be brief.

    Abstract: Abstract not more than 250 words, shouldhave the Purpose, Design, Findings, ManagerialImplications, Future scope / Limitations, andReferences. Abstracts without references will not beentertained. Also mention subtheme in the Abstract

    .It should also include up to five key words about thepaper.

    Headings: Should be short, clearly defined andnumbered. The paper should have introduction,literature review, Objectives/Research gaps,Methodology, Limitations/Scope for future work, andConclusion.

    Format : The paper should have a cover page givingtitle, authors name, complete address, telephonenumber, fax number, and email ID of the author. Incase of co-authors, these details should also beprovided for each co-author. Correspondence will besent to the first named author unless otherwiseindicated.

    The second page should contain the title and anabstract of 150 words. It should also include upto fivekey words about the paper. No other page shouldhave authors name. The paper should begin from thethird page.

    Margins: 2.5 cm. or 1 inchFont: Times New Roman, 12 pointSpacing: 1.5 between lines and 2 betweenparagraphs.

    References: Citation to other publications must be instandard style. That is shown within the text as theauthors name followed by a comma and year of publication, all in round brackets, e.g. (Volberda,1997). At the end of the paper a reference list inalphabetical order must be given as follows:For books: Surname, initials, (year), title, publisher,

    place of publication.

    e.g. Mckenzie J. (1996), Paradox: The New StrategicDimension, McGraw -Hill, Berkshire.For journals: surname, initials, (year), journal,volume (number), pages.e.g. Volberda H.W. (1997), Building FlexibleOrganization for Fast Moving Markets, Long RangePlanning, 30 (2), 169-183

    Conference Proceeding: Accepted papers will bepublished in the Proceedings of the conference onCD. Some of the presented papers selected by theconference chairs may be published in leading peerreviewed journals.

    Certificate: A certificate will be issued forpresenting a paper / attending the conference.

    Accommodation: IITR will provide accommodationto a limited number of participants on first come firstserve basis. Depending on availability of rooms atKhosla International House (KIH) and NC NigamHouse (NCNH), accommodation will be provided onsingle /twin sharing basis. The room charges are Rs.400 per day (KIH), in case of twin sharing thecharges will be Rs. 200 per day. The room chargesare Rs. 800 per day (NCNH), in case of twin sharingthe charges will be Rs. 400 per day.

    Distance from Roorkee railway station and busstand: The distance from railway station and busstand to KIGH / NCNGH is approximately 3 kms and1 km respectively. Cycle rickshaw charges areapproximately Rs 40 and Rs 20 from railway station

    and bus stand.
