Veyance Technologies, Inc. has its roots in an 1898 when The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company made its first product ~ poker chips ~ even before it made its first tire.

In 2007, after more than a century-long ownership of Goodyear Rubber & Tire Company, the division Goodyear Engineered Products was acquired by the global private capital corporation Carlyle Group, becoming a new company with a new name ~ Veyance Technologies. The Goodyear brand remains the stronghold of the company’s marketing e≠orts.

The name Veyance combines two components of the company’s daily operations. We produce and supply hi-tech engineered products, which convey material, fluids or power, with the goal of optimizing product performance for our Customers.

The key part of our operations is the research and development of innovative new products with high added value aimed at the most demanding customers.

Veyance Technologies is our company’s legal name. The business of our company is to exclusively manufacture and sell products and services that are branded Goodyear Engineered Products. We conduct an ethical business that is flexible, professional and competent.

Veyance Technologies employs 5,800 associates at more than 42 manufacturing, sales and distribution facilities worldwide, producing products that set industry standards for strength and versatility. The company’s home o≠ice is in Fairlawn, Ohio, usa.

Power transmission productsVeyance Technologies offers a wide range of quality products in order to cope with the growing demands of high-power engines for industrial and automotive applications. Goodyear Engineered Products comply with generally accepted specifications and can be used for oe and replacement installations. Product development and marketing is jointly managed by a group of experts with years of experience, who constantly upgrade their knowledge by following the latest technological developments in power transmission products.

Industrial:V-belts* ranging from traditional classical (z, a, b, c, d) and narrow profiles (spz, spa, spb, spc & 3v, 5v, 8v), Variable Speed, Double sided to fhp belts. Air springsAir springs for commercial vehiclesAir suspension systems have many advantages over traditional metal springs, which is why they are increasingly being used for buses, trucks, trailers and semi-trailers. Having two air springs on the front axle and four on the rear allows buses to ensure better passenger safety and comfort as well as easier entry and exit by lowering or raising the level of the vehicle.

Air springs have been a big success in all types of trucks. They offer numerous installation options for fitting to front, towing or rear axles, as well as to trailer axles. Air suspension with vibration damping enables the safe transport of sensitive loads, protects the vehicle from damage and ensures better driver comfort. By adjusting the vehicle’s level to the loading site, the air suspension system also facilitates easier load management.

Industrial air springsOur specially designed industrial air springs are widely used in demanding working conditions. Their advantages include simple installation, minimal maintenance costs and longer life. According to their application, they are divided into vibration dampers and into actuators, which ensure regular thrust or short movements. Industrial air springs are commonly found in machines and devices of highly automated production lines in the paper industry and in modern irrigation systems.

Conveyor beltsVeyance Technologies Inc. is the world’s leading producer of conveyor belts. Ninety years of development and production have resulted in exceptional know-how along with a wide range of products for the most demanding applications. Among other products, we produce the belt with the highest pulling strength (st7000, width: 2.4 m), the thickest belt (ep1800/4, width: 2.6 m, thickness: 51 mm) as well as the longest (st1500, length: 20.3 km). Our international infrastructure (Canada, usa, South America, South Africa, Australia and China) enables us to produce, supply and provide service of conveyor belts in almost every country of the world.

Heavyweight industrial conveyor beltsHeavyweight conveyor belts are used for transporting heavy loads such as coal, gravel, etc. They are composed of rubber and tensile bearing elements and are divided accordingly into textile conveyor belts and steel-reinforced belts. These differ in the way they are produced, but they both meet the standards dictated by the heavyweight conveyor belt market. Due to their low level of elongation, steel wire belts are mainly used for transporting heavy loads over long distances. Both types of conveyor belts are coated with a rubber mixture that corresponds to the material type, temperature, etc.

If the conveyor belt is damaged (longitudinal rip) the entire transport system ceases to function. Therefore, in the early 1970s, Goodyear developed Sensor Guard®, an electronic rip detection system. If the sensor detects a rip, it stops the conveyor belt, thus limiting the damage to the distance between two sensors installed on the belt (usually 50 m). Today the Sensor Guard system stands alone as the most proven and reliable rip detection system in the world. Furthermore, the Cord Guard® system detects any changes in the magnetic field that occur if steel wires are damaged. Both systems ensure the highest level of safety for the operation of the conveyor belt.
