We are committed to preaching the Bible and following after our Lord Jesus Christ. With the help of God, we strive to live by the teachings of Scripture and to be guided by the Holy Spirit. We hope your time with us will point you to the Savior of all mankind and the Lover of our Souls. If you have any special needs, please feel free to ask one of the ushers for assistance.

Your cooperation is most appreciated.

Women- you are encouraged to save the dates

July 20-21, to attend an overnight retreat at the Heartland Center just

a short drive away. Five of our mature women will be helping us take a closer look at a passage of

scripture (John 15:1-12) that God has given us so that we can lead

productive, stable, abundant lives in the midst of any circumstance

including hardship this world can dish out. $67 covers the cost of one

night stay, two meals, and materials. Scholarships are

available. Look for registration to begin in mid-May. There are only

Prayer Requests from the Board of Elders

1.

Please pray for those who are facing death.  Pray that they will seize the hope they have in Jesus.  Pray they will keep their focus on the glory of heaven.  Pray that they will realize that their next step will

be the beginning of the best days of their lives.  Remember the families and loved ones as the pending loss grows nearer, and pray that they will grow closer to God for comfort.

2. Pray for our high school seniors who will soon be graduating. Pray that the Lord would give them and their parents wisdom regarding their next steps as young adults. Pray also that the Lord would help them in their efforts to find Christian fellowship at Bible-teaching churches. Finally, pray that the Lord would protect them and sustain their faith in a culture that is increasingly antagonistic to Christianity.

3. As the Awana year winds down, pray that the Gospel is clearly presented and that the clubbers will understand the meaning of the verses they are memorizing. Pray that the workers will be greatly encouraged in the many opportunities they had over the year to train young minds in the things of the Lord.

4. Please pray for our sister churches in the Leavenworth-Lansing area. Pray that they would be strengthened to boldly proclaim the gospel of Christ in an increasingly hostile culture. This month, please pray specifically for Leavenworth Baptist Church. Pray that Pastor Jeff Wolfington and the leaders there would have wisdom as they seek to honor the Lord in their efforts at revitalization. Pray also that the believers there would strive toward maturity in Christ and that the Lord would bless their outreach efforts.
