SKOPJESkopje is the capital of the Republic of Macedonia and it’s the largest city in the country. Geographically, it’s located on the upper course of the River Vadrad. Skopje has a rather loose town planning, as the result of a devastating earthwuake in 1963 that destroyed 80% of the city’s roads and buildings. After the tragedy, reconstruction of the city was largely orchestrated by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange. Skopje is the cultural hub of the Republic of Macedonia and is, therefore, home to many of the country’s most famous museums and historical landmarks.
BITOLAA city in the southwestern part of Macedonia. The city is an administrative, cultural, industrial, comercial and educational center. According to some sources, Bitola is the second largest town in the country. It’s also famous for its lively nightlife.
A city on the eastern shore od Lake Ohrid. Ohris is world famous of manyof it’s natural legacies, a big part of which is the city’s religious history. It is said that Ohrid once held 365 Christian churchesm one for each day of the year and it has been referred to as a “Jerusalem”. The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments, and it is also the most popular tourist destination in Macedonia. Ohrid is one of the only 28 sites that are part of UNESCO’s World Heritage that are both Cultural and Natural sites.
MAVROVOMavrovo is located in the northwest of Macedonia. It is home to Mavrovo National Park and a winter sports centre. The region is located at Bistra Mountain (2163m above sea level).The Mavrovo Lake lies at an altitude ov 1220m. High above the lake lies one of the most popular ski-centers in the Republic of Macedonia. The region experiances a mountainous climate, with mild summers and cold winters.

Galichnik is a mountain village in the Republic of Macedonia.It has been well perserverd traditional architecture, which promotes the cultural values of this region. The most imporant event in the village is the Galichnik wedding, atraditional wedding custom, on the day of the village feast of the Patron Saint - Petrovden (St. Peter’s day). During the wedding, the local men dance one of the most famous traditional Macedonian dances - Teshkoto.
Veles is a city in the center of the Republic of Macedonia on the Vadrad river. The city of Feles is the seat of Veles Municipality. Through Macedonia, Veles is known as and industrial center. Veles is a city of poetry, culture, history and tradition,as well as a town win plentiful and precious cultural heritage and century old churches.
