Transportation
Skyss is that company that organizescollective transportation in
Bergen. They offerbusses and Light rail(Bybanen). Light Rail is
efficient for passengers going to the center. Itfollows a line
that runs from downtown all theway to Nesttun located about 9.8 km
from the
center.
BusIs another very efficient transport of Bergenbus. Since
spring 2012, the bus route hasbeen improved very much. Buses run in
boththe city and the streets far up themountainsides and the far
outskirts of town.

For those who love the sea,and social events are
Statsraad Lehmkuhl aperfect experience. Thiswhite-clad ship can
berented for parties andgatherings. It has a culinarybuffet and

take the Flibanen(funicular) or you can take the child
friendlypaths. There is a caf and a restaurant on thetop.
Ulriken (643) isthe highest of theseven mountainsthat is
surroundingBergen. Its possibleto walk or take theGondol up to
thetop. It is a
restaurant on the top.
Stoltzekleiven(400 m above sealevel) is a verysteep paved
hikingtrail with about 800steps. It goes fromthe cornice and upto
the top of Sandviksfjellet.

The museum of Natural History and heritagecollections for the
whole family. The museumis on Nygrdshyden in Bergen.
Festspillene
Festspillene is the oldest festival of musicand theater. They
have been held everyspring since 1953.
Attractions
Bryggen
Bryggen has roots dating back to 1000 years.Bergen was founded
by Olav Kyrre in 1070.On the wharf in Bergen in the old days, it
wasthe Hanseatic League who lived. It was on the
pier all the shipsadded, when theHanseatic Leaguenegotiated.
Bryggenin Bergen is the cityof Bergen. Due tothe heavy fire isonly
a fourth part of
the buildings preserved.
MariaChurch.
The church was built between 1130-1170.
Maria church is in Bergen. It also has an oldchurch yard that is
not in use, withgravestones from the years 1700-1800.
