SSE5305 Web Engineering This course covers the theoretical, analytical and technical understanding of the concepts behind the technologies to produce a highly enviable skills graduate. It focuses on analysis, design, implementaon and deployment of web-based systems. The course involves praccal work that deal with web programming for client and server development, and development of database applicaon. It also provides issues related to the awareness of quality of service r web-based applicaon, the importance of web security and good web management. SSE5980 Seminar in Soſtware Engineering This course covers the discussion of the research topics in software engineering. The student is required to present original project proposal in software engineering. SSE5988 Project The student will carry out a detailed study and develop a research project related to Soſtware Engineering under a supervision of a lecturer. Student will perform inial study on the topic selected, design the system and implement it. A proposal report needs to be prepared at the beginning of the study. At the end of the project, the student will submit a complete project report for evaluaon. The student will also be required to present his/her project in a seminar organised by the department. SSK5504 Soſtware Security This course covers the common soſtware security problems, their underlying causes, and soluons to the problems. chniques to prevent and detect the software security level shall be covered in this course. ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS An applicant should have a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or its equivalent with a CGPA of at least 2.750 from UPM or other universies recognised by UPM, or Applicants with a CG between 2.500 and 2.750 (2.500 =< CG <2.750), may be considered if they have at least one (1) year of working experience in the related field. Applicants with a CG below 2.500, must have at least five (5) year of working experience in the related field. ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT Internaonal applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 550 for the TOEFL Paper-based Test (Academic Version) or Band 6.0 for IES (Academic Training), or 79-80 for TOEFL Internet-based st (Academic Version) or level 109 for CIEP at ELS Language Centre. INTRODUCTION

The Master of Software Engineering programme is a 40 credits

postgraduate programme by coursework. It offers an opportunity for

ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
