Brno is located in the southeastern part of the country,at the confluence of Svitava amd Svratka rivers.The city is a political and cultural centre of the South Moravian Region .Brno as such was acknowledged to be a town in 1243 be Wenceslaus king of Bohemia,but the area it sefl had been settled since the 2nd century.
