Democracy
Engage in democratic systems in school School council elections - all children take part in the election which included making their own parties, lobbying and voting using ballot boxes.
Different systems of government systems – carousel of different types of government. Included in this was a session around democratic systems.

Know about other systems of government Different systems of government systems – carousel of different types of government. Included in this was a session around democratic systems. Children learnt about federal government, democratic, communism and dictatorships

Police input on e:safety – Police officer delivered an assembly to KS2 and follow up DVD on how to stay safe on line.
Children took part in safety play where which class performed part of a story to do with e safety and preformed it in front of the whole school.

Gardening club – Children have been learning how to take care of their local environment and the importance of recycling. They are learning about water conservation through water butts and recycling of rain water.

Very few records of discrimination – Incidents were investigated and appropriate actions were taken by head teacher. Records of these are found in the incidents file.

Friendship week – Circle times were carried out around the theme of bullying with children discussing what is meant by the term bullying and what to do in the event of bullying. Each child designed a new poster for friendship to be made into the schools new anti-bullying poster.
School visit to the Mosque and respected the customs to cover heads and remove shoes. Follow up work was completed
