The University of Queensland is proud to partner with world-leading institutions for the Rapid Switch Project – a multi-national, multi-institutional study which seeks to understand pathways to decarbonise the world’s energy systems, given the state of current technologies and the political, social, and economic constraints in various regions. By analysing bottlenecks and unintended consequences that may arise during the global transition to a low-carbon economy, resolving them by sector and region, and respecting local values and conditions, Rapid Switch will identify the most viable, rapid transition pathways to a more sustainable future.
