The Sustainable Development Goals, otherwise known as the Global Goals, build on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), eight anti-poverty tar-

gets that the world committed to achieving by 2015.The MDGs, adopted in 2000, aimed at an array of issues that included

slashing poverty, hunger, disease, gender inequality, and access to water and sanitation.

Enormous progress has been made on the MDGs, showing the value of a unifying agenda underpinned by goals and targets. Despite this success, the

indignity of poverty has not been ended for all.

Education is the most important thing that needs to be achieved for all youth in Indonesia. As we know that Indonesia is a developing country and here education as initial capital in the improvement of standards of living. This project has more meaning than just one of the tools to achieve global

goals in 2030, this project also provides concrete actions that AIESEC Surabaya sympathize and care for the Children of the Nation by providing education and self-development to unfortuned-children and children with

low levels of education in Surabaya, Indonesia.

and 2nd the largest city in Indonesia.

Surabaya & ChildrenSurabaya�is�one�of�the�citywhich�has�a�good�quality�eduation�in�indonesia.But,�not�all�areas�got�that�kind�of�qualified�education.there�are�parts�where�children�lived�in�unsupportedevironment,�unhappy�,�and�poverty.So�through�this�project,�we�aim�to�help�themto�develop�their�knowledge�and�skills.

Do�you�want�to�help�us�bringing�those�‘happiness’?


The�number�of�unemployed�in�the�city�of�Surabaya�based�on�data�from�the�Demographic�Affairs�of�Surabaya�in�2010�was�as�much�as�802.568�people.�From�that�number�was�just�12�percent�or�96�309�unemployed�that�can�be�handled.�Things�that�trigger�the�onset�of�poverty�in�which�the�head�of�the�

family�is�not�able�to�meet�the�needs�of�his�family�were�then�led�to�the�phenomenon�of�street�children�to�help�fulfill�his�life�and�his�family.

WHAT IS BRING THE HAPPINESS?

Bring �e Happiness is a Project Based on Exchange (PBoX)

�at focused on children education.

We want to bring much happiness for environment by teaching

children from different education background and also collaborating

wi� exchange students.

Our target is to make Surabaya city better �an before. We

hope �is project will increase quality education, especially for �e

street children so we can encourage �em to continue �eir

education level. And in �e end, we can reduce �e level of poverty in

Surabaya.

Community with different theme every week :

1st week : CultureEP will share and teach the children about your culture and help them to broaden their

Surabaya Heroic TourThrough this event, we will explore Surabaya, the City of Heroes with street children. We will visit many

landmark in Surabaya and try different kind of traditional food. With this event we will share our

happiness with street children and you will learn more about Surabaya as well.

Indonesia’s Independence Day

At August 17th we will celebrate Indonesia Independence Day. Many people in Indonesia will celebrate this day by

cleaning their place and put the Indonesia flag in front of their place and held some kind of competition to play with. You

will have a chance to take part in Independence Day Ceremony and participate in many kind of traditional games.

Global VillageYou will have opportunity to show your countries' culture. You can use different ways to show, such as singing and dancing in the traditional
