Press Release Hong Kong, 3 September 2020 Bright Future helps the underprivileged in Hong Kong amid pandemic As the largest face mask manufacturer in Hong Kong, Bright Future is helping the community for the underprivileged, amid the current COVID-19 pandemic. In August, Bright Future has launched a series of charity programs for over 50 elderly centers in Yuen Long. The donation have incorporated its signature product BFCare surgical masks and instant hand sanitizers. “We really appreciate Bright Future’s efforts to our local elderly center, which will directly benefit to the elderly and staff. Hopefully more and more corporates like Bright Future could take on the social responsibility and deliver their care to the local community,” social worker Lau from Greenery Elderly Home said. The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has affected everyone, and no one is immune from its impact. “It’s not easy for everyone at this time. We have been thinking about how to show our strength and serve others. We think of the underprivileged in Hong Kong and the elderly in the nursing center. Everyone stay home because of the epidemic. No more elderly visit and most of them don’t know how to reach the Internet. They just like stay on an isolated island. Therefore, we organized the activities for the community to benefit over 5000 people in need in Hong Kong. Other than the elderly center campaign, earlier in June, our BF volunteering team sent gift packs to social enterprise and provided volunteering work through “Love Soup & Rice Box" project,” said Maggie Lau, the Corporate Communications Manager at Bright Future. Globally, Bright Future is actively pledging to support COVID-19 relief efforts in communities. Earlier this year, Bright Future donated 3.5-million medicines for supporting frontline coronavirus treatment to Yunnan, Jiangxi and Guangdong provinces through Chinese Red Cross Foundation; also donated soaps and health products to support 140 hospitals in 11 provinces; 30,000 tubes of Fucidic Acid Cream become the frontline anti-epidemic skin care medicine to support medical professionals in Wuhan. Partnered with local NGOs in DR Congo, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and Zambia, Bright Future donated basic necessities including rice, face masks etc. to diverted available food resources by doing our part to help ease people’ anxiety. Maggie also mentioned that “‘Brighter Life Better Future’ is our brand vision. There are three sustainability pillars to deliver the greater possible long-term impact in improving health around the world, namely operation responsibility, people responsibility and social responsibility. We strive to advance research and development towards building a diversified portfolio, providing affordable healthcare solutions with uncompromising quality and improving the quality of life for patients across the world.” Bright Future demonstrates this through its commitment to community and social issues. In 2016, the company established the Bright Future Charity Campaign.
