Lee Foundation donated RM50 million
UTAR received a donation of RM50 million from Lee
Foundation for the university’s development in its
mission towards educational and research excellence
and providing affordable quality education for the
community.
The Lee Foundation upholds the righteous spirit of its
founder, the late Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Kong Chian and
his noble aim of advancing education, science and
medical research, culture and social welfare including
aid to the poor and needy and other charities.
In recognition of the late Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Kong Chian’s philanthropy and
generous support for education and the university, UTAR is extremely grateful
to honor this remarkable man by naming the UTAR Faculty of Engineering and
Science as Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science
