About the School• Punjab School of Economics was established in

1974 with the objective to impart value oriented

education under the stewardship of Prof. K.S. Gill, a

great visionary of National and International repute.

• The School’s achievements were recognized by the

UGC and SAP was granted to the School in 2004.

• First stage of SAP was completed successfully and

after a thorough evaluation by the UGC Review

Committee, the grant was extended for a second

stage for the period 2009-2014, and for the third

stage (DRS-III) also for the period (2015-20).

conference and 4 workshop (2016-20).

Student Support and Progression• The School encourages participation of students in

sports and youth festival activities which led to variousattributes like communication skills, building up ofconfidence, public speaking, managerial ability and teamwork.

• The School offers fee concession and financial assistanceto the under-privileged/financially deprived students.

• A grievance redressal cell involving senior teachers andstudents has been put up to resolve the problems of thestudents.

• For the progression of students to higher education andgainful employment, the School has established aguidance cell, and works in tandem with the placementcell of the university.
