Brief History

The Department of Business Administration was one of the eleven Departments at the

inception of Gomal University in September 1974. The department is successfully

running BBA (H) 4 years , MBA,. In December 2004 new program of MBA (B & F) wasstarted in collaboration with the Institute of Bakers Pakistan this program has been

designed to impact focus professional education in the field of Banking and Finance the

participants of this program will have in depth understanding of the core banking

functions and allied subjects vital for executive development. This program has been

running on self sustaining basis and a very attractive for graduate dressing to become

officer executives in banks and financial institutions as well as for all other personnel

already working in financial markets bond market and investment consultancies who

wish to purse further academic career and broadening their professional out look and

vision. Personality BBA 4 year MBA and MBA (B & F) programs are being offered.

Now Department intends to offer the New Programs of BBA-IT and MBA-IT.

Existing Program: BBA (H), MBA, MBA (B & F)

Proposed Programs: BBA-IT, MBA-IT

The total students of the Department are approximately 1200; by keeping in view the said

student strength the existing class rooms are not sufficient to accommodate them. So for

this purpose department is in dire need of the new class rooms.

The Total faculty members are 20 while the existing offices for them are less than half.

There is only one girls common room which is most of the time jam-packed because of

their huge strength which is more than 200.

There is not even a single common room for boys because of which conjecture around inDepartment and university futilely.

As it is in your kind knowledge that Department is running three professional degreeoriented programs. One of our program namely MBA (B & F) which we are running

with the collaboration of Institute of Bankers of Pakistan, in that program mentionedprogram seminars are the core part of the degree.

is the need of the day. Department is also running the M.Phil and PhD Program soscholars also want to engage them on internet
